I am Catholic. The upside down cross being "evil" or "scary" is just a Hollywood trope. The upside down cross is not evil in Christinaity. In fact, it represents something quite significant - St Peter's Cross. St Peter was crucified upside down because he did not see himself worthy to be put to death in the same manner as Jesus. I hope that makes sense. ❤❤

Okay so Annabelle(the doll) is just a simple doll. At least it was. A demon called Malthius once used that doll as a conduit, not a vessel, difference being he was just moving around the doll to give it the impression of possession. It chose to stay in the doll because that was what it worked best with. It claimed so many victims and struck fear into so many people. After Anne died, Malthius was attracted to the negativity in the house. And seeing how Mr. Mullens created the Annabelle doll to be like his daughter, Malthius tried to trick them into thinking that the doll is being possessed by their daughter.

You should watch Evil Dead (2013) It's such a good movie and an elite movie-watching experience! Also, fun fact, the film used 70,000 gallons of fake blood, taking it to the #1 spot of "the most fake blood ever used" in a film. I will never forget when I watched this film. We were on tour at school and went to Johannesburg city. We went to the mall quite late at night and convinced our super strict ,religious Afrikaans teacher that was our mentor on the trip, to let us go watch this film as a class... anyway, the most memorable thing about watching this in the theatre is that my class mates were seated all over the place and one of my best friends was about 2 rows in front of me, and after that bloody doll kept coming back he suddenly stands up and shouts "Just burn the fucking thing!!!", it was hysterical and our teacher cheering him on was even better😂😂😂 This movie is mad scary though, watched it through my hands then, watching the same way now...😭😭
