So, IDK who talked bad about this song. But this one is a very solid, one of the best new songs out there. All I can figure is they've never lost someone before they got the chance to either reconnect, or say goodbye, or haven't lost someone close yet. If that's the case? I envy them.

My mother died of leukemia and for months before she died I went to see her every weekend and read her the 23rd Psalm just because she said she loved hearing me. One weekend I couldn’t go see her because of work and the next weekend I couldn’t because she was no longer with us. I had never heard this song until today but I will never forget it and all I can say is tell the people you love how you feel because one day you won’t be able to and you will regret that you didn’t tell them one last time.

Country music is often cliche but LIFE is often cliche. For someone to not at least accept this song’s message as a truth so many of us have or will live is really sad. I’d hate to be that jaded. And yes, CoJo is the man and has one of the greatest voices! Sebs, since you have daughters you should hear Cody’s God Bless the Boy. Cody has a little girl too! ♥️

Only those of us who have made mistakes, have some regrets or have lost someone we have taken for granted, will understand and love this song. Sounds like Abby has been a fortunate one. I hope this song doesn't ever have to mean anything to her. Love the reaction as usual. Keep up the good heartfelt work my friend. Blessings.

As a travel nurse I was seeing one of my elderly patients one day. She was in her rocker crying. I asked if she was okay. With tears running down her sweet face she said I am so lonely I just talked to my daughter and asked her if she would like to come and have coffee with me, but you see my daughter works so hard she doesn’t have time today. My patient died in her sleep that night.🥲🥲 So when Co Jo came out with this song my memory goes back to that precious little lady. We are all busy in our life. Things can and will happen no matter how hard we try. But have peace with your choice’s. Thank You So Much! 👍🏻❤️

I used to wait till my dad would ask me if i wanted to go fishin, id wait till my mom called me. I never asked if my dad would go fishin with me, and i didnt call my mom first much. For my dad, i knew he worked all day everyday to provide so i wanted him to be able to relax from work and spend time with us. My mom, i dont know why i didnt call her more often to talk. When my dad was diagnosed with breast cancer, we were lucky enough to have a year with him afterwards, he passed 15 years ago. My momma passed 5 years later when i was 18. Ever since the day they passed, i kick myself for not taking that chance to ask my dad, to call my momma. You never grasp how much it means to have them in your life till they're gone.. i cant listen to songs we used to listen and sing to anymore, or songs like this without breakin down, even now while typin this.. dont ever take things for granted, especially your parents. Caus efor me, my grandparents were my parents from when i was a baby. I miss them so much ans it hurts bad tryin to get through certain things. My dad had a dream truck. A 99 durango with the 360. I have one and its not going anywhere. I promised him if i ever got one we would build it together. Imma keep that promise dad 🥹🤘💪💯

This song hits me so hard. I lost my father suddenly 9 months ago. I lost my best friend and the person who kept me stable. This song hit number one that same week. It played on the radio and I had to pull over and ball my eyes out. I cherish every memory with him and I miss him every day. I love him so much and I know he'd be right in front of me telling me to move forward. I share that because this song reminds me of those good times and the love him and I had. I hate when people say it's too generic. Cody screaming and fluttering his voice the way he does, pulls out the emotions that I bottle up and helps me to heal a little more everytime. Thank you for doing a reaction to this song.

Wonderful song that reminds us that time has an end. The worst thing that I may not get done because I am a 74 year old with a weak heart is that some of my grandchildren and great grandchildren I haven't seen for 5 years or more and some I have never met, my fear is that I won't get to share Jesus with them as I have with those near me.

Cody Johnson in his younger days was a rodeo star. He won several buckles for himself. FYI belt buckles in rodeo are the award you receive when you win, like the one he was wearing in the video. He also used to be a corrections officer. His song Hey Rodeo is a tribute to those days. He did a remix with Reba McIntyre, she's considered Queen of Country music, who by the way also used to participate in rodeos in her younger days. He's also called CoJo. I love his music and I've seen him twice at a show and got to meet him. He's a nice guy.

Great Reaction!! CoJo is the truth! From Texas and yeah he is an old country soul who was a legit cowboy bull rider! Sounds great live too. Great overall artist. Should check out more of him. I'll even give you some recommendations 1. God Bless the Boy (Cori Song)- a song for one of his daughters. 2. Nothing On You 3. He does a great cover of "Simple Man" - originally a Charlie Daniels song. 4. With You I Am 5. On My Way to You 6. Doubt Me Now

I haven't read the comments, so you might have already heard this... people love CJ because, aside from his amazing talent, he's humble, he's a small town boy, he's a former rodeo cowboy, and he's not afraid to speak up for what he believes in. He's bringing back classic country, and I enjoy pop-country too, but once King George has left us, who will be the one to step up? Enjoyed your review!

Seb, you ought to start a check list of Artists from Texas! It will blow your mind! We Country fans really get to know Artists. Cringy? No. Cody leaves his Cowboy life and his life called Rodeo, and in his 40’s breaks into the music scene. That’s courageous and great. What other Genre can this be done?

Connections with the people who are most important in our lives aren't difficult to embrace (don't require hours of attempted interpretation) but it is all too easy to neglect that which is truly meaningful as we deal with the mundane tasks we all must tend too on a daily basis. Stories offered by the country genre often help remind me, at least, how important it is to focus on those fundamental and overwhelmingly important connections...the matters we will remember and hold dear decades down the road.

A close friend of mine was struck by lightning 15 years ago and killed. On a Sunday afternoon when there was barely any rain. He was 30. His wife, my close childhood friend, was pregnant with their second son. The year before their first son was stillborn days before his due date. Another day is never promised. Take opportunities when you can. PS Their child is 15 and a wonderful boy. He looks just like his dad and acts like him too 😊

Must down to earth REAL country guy out there. Cody has did it his way, the hard way, until Nashville couldn't deny him anymore. He has been a star in Texas and the rodeo circuit since he quit. Only guy out there right now that is close to him is Zach Bryan, and they are both going to win a lot of awards, even though radio and Nashville didn't agree. Both have massive fan followings.
