Maintenance to a wrongful wife is a new way of begging by the educated and cruel wife and her parents who are now-a-days broker of their so called sanskari beti. Parliament should abrogate section 24 of HMA and section 125 Cr.PC. Then, cases wherein desertion and illegal claims of maintenance by the wrong wife will be completely finished. Please clarify mental cruelty, this term is vague & most modern women are taking undue advantage of not staying with in laws citing mental cruelty. It’s moral responsibility of the wife to take care of husband’s health & take care of parents as well. Judicial system should be revamped & reforms should be made as times have changed now, more women are committing crimes without getting adequate punishment when found accused in any courts, that’s double standard & should be taken consideration of the fact that all laws should be made gender neutral. 🙏
