Bhai Dowry is not streedhan(Pratibha Rani vs Sooraj Kumar), it was held by Supreme Court of India....It had overruled the decision of Vinod Kumar Sethi Vs State of Punjab by Punjab and Haryana High court....Prior to Pratibha Rani Vs Sooraj Kumar, the High courts were considering dowry as streedhan, after this case supreme Court has made a distinction. Case is that a person invested money in an company for 6 months. the company assures him that he will get 5 to 8 percent profit every month. After giving profit for 2 3 months company disappeared. the said alleged company The eagle Crest Pvt Limited used incorporation certificate of SECP to solicit investments in non-corporate businesses having similar / abbreviated names. Means in SECP company is registered in the name of *The Eagle Crest ( Pvt) Limited* but company open similar abbreviated name sole proprietorship account which is *The eagle Crest*. They collect money from public by showing incorporation certificate of SECP. Sir as mentioned above please advise that im this case section 406 and 420 PPC both will apply. And also section 34 common intention. Please also advise if any other section Please inform urgently 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Section 138 of negotiable instrument act. It is a criminal case. 405 will not be necessary.
