Just cause a team plays in the SEC championship, win or lose, doesn't mean they have to be ranked higher than Ole Miss on the playoffs rankings. Playoff rankings don't have to and most likely won't match SEC seeding

We are getting way ahead of ourselves here we still have to beat Florida in the swap,which we should and State, which we should but weirder things have happened. I think it’s best to take it one game at a time and just keep winning and see what happens. Get to thinking about 3 games out and lose the next one it’s all over

Steven, I think it is just better to go ahead and get the two wins and get to the playoffs. No need to tempt fate, lose that third game, and get left out if there are 5 10-2 teams out there.

After 50 years of ups and downs, broken hearts and tears, 'natty" almost seems like a pipe dream. But I have to admit I agree with your comment. Ole Miss Saturday was one of the best teams I've ever seen.

We are all about the offense for next season. Is there anything comparable to our defense as well with all the defensive line graduating?

We have Perkins and some top 1st year players, but the portal will need to be effectively used, also. And we do have the Portal King....

What’s the benefit of playing in the sec title game? Win the game and get a “bye” but that team will still play another and same # of games as #3. Lose and you play an extra game or get left out? There’s no home-field advantage .

The 1-4 seeds (Conf Champs) do not host a game. They simply get a 1st round bye. Only the the first round games are played on the higher seeds home field. All the games locations are predetermined after the 1st round. From the NCAA website: "The four quarterfinal games are not played at the campus sites. Instead, these four games - scheduled on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 - will be played at the Fiesta Bowl, Rose Bowl, Peach Bowl and Sugar Bowl. The four highest-ranked conference champions will be assigned one of these bowls in consideration of historic bowl relationships as well as seeding"

I don't know that a 10-3 loser of the SEC Championship gets in the playoffs at all. Also, I will be very happy just to get in the playoffs; I don't think hosting is likely now.

We need LSU to lose a game and GA to beat TN. We will be 1-0 vs 6-2 conference record teams. GA will be 1-2. AL will be 1-1 TN will be 1-1 If MO wins out, they will be 0-1 If TX loses they will be 0-1 If TX A&M loses they will be 0-0 If LSU doesn't lose or TN beats GA, it's almost impossible

@@davidgibson8484 What you posted is not how things work. There is a 6 step process to any tiebreaker scenarios, and is pretty complex if there are 3 or more teams involved.

@ronaldmathis8957 that depends on how step 1 Head to Head is interpreted. If you have 4 teams at 6-2 ABC&D. Team A beat Teams B&C. Team B beat team C. Team C beat team D. Team D didn't play team A or B Team A is 2-0 head to head. Team B is 1-1 head to head. Team C is 1-2 head to head. Team D is 0-1 head to head. Does team A&B go, or do you throw out head to head entirely because they all didn't play each other? What if it's only 3 teams tied at 7-1 Team A beat team B Team B beat team C Team A and team C didn't play. Do you put team A&B in, or do you throw out head to head entirely?
