great run arkansas. What a great coach to have those girls all killing it; even the ones not on the relay are all running well. Running with the best brings out the best and this was unfathomed that 3 teams could break the old record but it can probably happen outdoors for maybe these same teams, texas, and florida this year. This is a new age we are witnessing as God has moved us forward into a new athlete era.

I think we have just discovered who will be the key to the U.S. finally breaking the Soviet 4x400 meter record. Britton Wilson steps in for Allyson Felix and I am predicting a sub 49 second 400 on the second leg for her. Dalilah Muhammad opens, in 49.2, Britton runs second at 48.5, Sydney duplicates the 48.3 and the Athing (if she can come back from 800m in 90 minutes) closes it out in a 47.9. Dalilah better out of the blocks than Sydney, who will run better in third than and Athing will close it out for the record. Britton Wilson could also win another gold in the 4x400 mixed. No more losses to the Poles.

Unless Allyson retires she's not going anywhere until after worlds. She wants in on the breakage mark my word and she has a 47 in her. She's been coming back down steadily. I believe Syd also has a 47 in her, Dalilah low 48, Mu - God only knows ...I'm scurred!!!

@@dajosco115 I would love nothing better than for Allyson to see this Worlds at her chance to make a last statement, at what she has done better than anyone ever, run the relays, especially the second leg. I hope she qualifies in the 400 but passes and focuses just on the two relays, as we can't let the Poles win the mixed again.
@dennisrobinson80082 жыл бұрын
@@dajosco115 If that's all she focused on, yes 47 or low 48 for sure. She has more than enough speed for it.
@FabThePenMan2 жыл бұрын
I would love Allyson to bow out with an Olympic Gold, rather than a World's silver or bronze. She has given 17 years to Senior/International Athletics. She's come back from every championship with a medal or 2. She's done it all, and has nothing to prove! Almost everyone is going to be younger and faster than her, it will allow them the pleasure of saying "I beat Allyson Felix".
@TBIVoices2 жыл бұрын
@@FabThePenMan The only thing I would say in qualification is that Allyson has a knack for running as fast as she needs to. Only a couple of times has she ever really let it all out, principally in World Championship 4x400. (Third leg, 2015.) I think she saw the lead in Tokyo (while at the same time knowing that Sydney didn't run fast enough to threaten the WR) and knew who was behind her and didn't want to do anything to screw it up. If she was fresh and took the risk, she could potentially run in the 48's again. If she has that in her, it would be a great way to finish. Especially if she did it in the mixed as well.

Not that those still reading need any context, but the Jamaican's with Stephanie Ann. McPherson just won the World Indoor Gold with 3:28.40, with the Dutch, with Femke Bol 3:28.57. This Arkansas team would have been four seconds clear. Even with their effort at the NCAA's on the much slower track, they would still have won by a second.
