I have been watching Alabama and Auburn all my life. And that goes back a LONG time. Every year, both sides just LOVE to bring up what each one did against common opponents. Auburn beat Arkansas, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State more convincingly than Alabama did. At the same time, Auburn lost to LSU while Alabama beat LSU. The truth is NONE of that matters. People make themselves crazy comparing common opponent stats. The Iron Bowl is a season unto itself. What happened vs. this team or that team makes no difference.
