@Av63PNT0 he talks a good story. But he has no clue about how things really work in this country, and how corrupt it really is from the actual Constitution. He thinks all people have to do, is elect the right Federal officials, and everything will be perfect. But he has no clue that elections are bought by lobbyists by supporting candidates, because the best funded candidate usually wins.

The people (the true sovereigns) of a State bypass their State legislature and elect delegates to hold a convention on the secession of their State from the Union. The elected representatives of the people of that State, after much sober deliberation, and acting in the authority of the true sovereigns, can vote to recall the few and defined powers they had authorized the Federal Government of the USA to have in the Constitution. Such an act of the people could not be labeled as "treasonous" as such conventions were used by the sovereigns (people) of the States to ratify the U.S. Constitution. Ratification of the Constitution was not an act of the State governments, but was carried out by the true sovereigns of each State, the people.

Commentary on Hosea 4:6 through 11: "Both priests and people rejected knowledge; God will justly reject them. They forgot the law of God, neither desired nor endeavoured to retain it in mind, and to transmit the remembrance to their posterity; therefore God will justly forget them and their children. If we dishonour God with that which is our honour, it will, sooner or later, be turned into shame to us. Instead of warning the people against sin, from the consideration of the sacrifices, which showed what an offence sin was to God, since it needed an atonement, the priests encouraged the people to sin, since atonement might be made at so small an expense. It is very wicked to be pleased with the sins of others, because they may turn to our advantage. What is unlawfully gained, cannot be comfortably used. The people and the priests hardened one another in sin; therefore justly shall they share in the punishment. Sharers in sin must expect to share in ruin. Any lust harboured in the heart, in time will eat out all its strength and vigour. That is the reason why many professors grow so heavy, so dull, so dead in the way of religion. They have a liking for some secret lust, which takes away their hearts." Dr. Paul may God continue to Bless you and please take care of your health.

I once worried that these views Dr. Paul has shared would never take hold and we'd descend into a permanent state of tyranny. Now I realize that his vision of an America 4-5 years down the road is what will come to be, as a result of the collapse. Everyone will wake up once their shitty system crashes and say, "well, let's make sure that can't happen again." People will have so much more common sense once the nightly news and public schooling falls to the wayside.
@annas528110 жыл бұрын
Idk, the only ppl we know who can afford "home school," are the people milking the public taxes for all they can. They are all from generational-public paycheck families. (People who work can't afford the luxuries of the military employees)

Pol Pot was Sartre trained communist in Paris, and was supported by the Chinese Communists. Cambodia was ruled by a very sophisticated Prince who played off both sides against each other. Paul's citing the USA bombing of Cambodia seems to ignore that the Prince wisely allowed NVA and Viet Cong free-run of that part of the country for years in order to have a safe haven. The Prince also wisely assessed which side was more ruthless and realized that backing USA was a losing cause. It was then that he fled off to China and the Pol Pot regime took over, albeit with a short period where some Cambodia military clowns extracted as much from the country as they could before Pol Pot took over.

The U.S. needs to be furtherly divided. With 2,3 or 4 separate unions. As long as citizens have the "we're #1 blind pride mentality" instead of educated and enlightened minds. They'll be lead like a bunch of cattle to the slaughter. Again (Korea) and again (Viet Nam) and again (Iraq) and again (Afghanistan) and again (Russia). Will the U.S.A. ever wake up??????
@johnc.calhoun77559 жыл бұрын
Howie47 So a separate a giant tyranny into smaller tyrannies? That's not the answer. The answer is that we need democracy and consent. The people need to own themselves and their state first but your plan doesn't have any of that now does it?
@Howie479 жыл бұрын
More competition and more education. Let each region sink or float on it's own merits. Instead of relying on other regions to artificially prop them up. Democracy never worked. Study its history. Majorities end up choosing some evil dictator who promises to give them everything they want and make them great. "flattery is how the Bible says Satan takes over." How can the wants of the majority ever equal a successful venture? Every ship without a helm, ends up floundering on the rocks.
@johnc.calhoun77559 жыл бұрын
Howie47 Either the People consent to their government, or they DON'T, no matter how you spin your words. By law, each state is a sovereign nation, supremely owned and ruled by its People; government is their SERVANT and they can overrule it. Under your current lies. however, the USA is a single nation, and NOBODY owns it-- and thus power DEFAULTS to the federal oligarchy. So do you favor majority or minority rule? "How can the wants of the majority ever equal a successful venture?" Well corporations seem to have no trouble. They are run by the majority of the shareholders and they even elect representative i.e. a board of directors.

i wish Ron Paul, Ross Perot, or Thomas Sowell wouldve got the republican nomination some time in their lifetime. imagine if sowell came after reagan instead of HW. maybe clinton loses to perot in 96', perot serves two terms, we get 1 term of obama or kerry and then we get two terms of Ron Paul, then we get trump. I can dream. i wish there were a 3 party system at least. Not as if Libertarians had to hijack the neocon party anytime we want to win. i do consider myself a republican though.

It's best to keep America strong together and give more autonomy to the states like a Confederacy. United we stand as a confederacy, divided most states are too small and insignificant on a global level. That's why secession isn't a reasonable option. The Mises Institute and Ron Paul are unfortunately obsessed with it which is disappointing. You should study the best alternative option of a Confederacy.

I appreciate Ron very much but he misses the point that we are in war of societies, mostly religios on their end which, playing nice will not work in this fight. We have lost focus of this and as a result we fear things that need not be feared and at times allow their rise in our passion for equallity. Our overbearing responses assist in thise that we target. The prize eludes us as we can't see the threat and how it moves whilst they underdtand us competely. Our resolve is being tested which devides us these days. As a result, we exasperate the problem which only benifits those people against us driving you and I, via our elected reps, to the reduction of civil liberty in their misguided decisions. Vigelence is a great thing but in the face of an undefined national will, growing unfeatherd power wil and is currently being exploited. against what we hold dear.

How many times have you heard, "I love Ron Paul for his fiscal policy and domestic politics and stand with him 100% on these, but I simply cannot support his misguided and naive national security policy and his view on the world outside America"? There's a reason for this: his view on the Fed resonates soundly; his view on jihad against America (its root cause and how to fight it) does not. The one, he gets; the other he just doesn't get.
