Brain is black shading still a thing on the X? That was my only gripe on the OG Komodo

If what you mean by "a thing" is if it's recommended, then yes. It only takes about 20 seconds though and it's just part of my workflow. How much difference does it make to noise patterns?...I wouldn't know because I just do it. As for as the process itself being problematic I think that just depends on your perspective. Compared to a mirrorless, yeah, it's an extra step. If you've ever shot a DSMC2 RED camera though, those take at least 20mins to black shade, sucking a big vmount battery down all along the way...KX is WAY less painful than that was.

Good video! I own a Sony A7s3 and I'm wondering how different would it look with that camera.

I've shot at least 50 homes on A7Siii. It does look different. Most people would say the Komodo-X looks better, but that comes at great cost. Komodo-X is a slower working camera, produces huge files, and is MUCH more expensive. I have it because I can afford to have it and have fun using it, but all things considered the A7Siii is the more appropriate camera for this kind of work.

Interesting to see the 12mm Laowa in there. I remember you mentioning recently that you don't feel the need to go past 16mm for real estate. ... and then as I type this I remember the Komodo-X is S35... Oh well. Regardless, is the Canon 10-20 something you'd ever consider?

I'm actually going to be discussing the new 10-20mm in tomorrow's livestream. The short answer is yes, I would consider it. The long answer is it's more complicated.
