I wish this was in English, my 3 x great uncle was Corperal John Ryder, he was at the siege of multan and the battle of gujarat. He left a good book about it he is buried nearby and we tend his grave which mentions the battles and 2nd sikh wars.

You can't Manuplate Sikh history,yes off course Indian books always decline Sikh's contribution for freedom and you as well. You just want to say that Sikhs only fought for his empire not for India. But I would like to say that we don't keep Any hope from Indian history books to say good for real Sikh history according to Sikh history sorces but sikhs have contributed more then 85% for freedom of India even they were not 2% of total population of India not as u said that Sikhs helped to british army. Sikhs continued fought against British army upto1947 even they lost second Anglo war in 1849 . hanged Mangal panday only resisted becouse of thier religion issue not for freedom of country . Totally 93 Sikhs hanged on out of 121 by britisiers upto 1947. It's enough to say what has Sikhs done before 1947 and even after 1947 all time in wars. sikhs worries fought in lost Sikh empire lot of time small wars countinuly from1849 to1947 . It will become main couse of India's slavery again that they don't tell truth in thier books and they always denied brave Sikh worries fought for India. Every body konws in the world who fought and how much were brave in history. Thanks.
