Though Jesus was clear that He would return, He also explained that the details for when it would happen are not ours to know. But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only (Matthew 24:36 ESV). It is not for us to know, because our job is not to focus on “when” it’s happening. Our task is to keep our eyes on Jesus, take the Great Commission to heart, and live as a walking testimony-knowing that Jesus will indeed come to save us, and put an end to sin and evil forever.

A very religious man went to sea one day on a little rowing boat. Suddenly A raging storm came and washed away the oars and nearly taking his life, but the man was not scared because he knew god would save him. Amidst the raging storm, a fishing trawler appeared and offered to save the man. But the man said, 'No thanks. God will save me!' Few hours later, the coastguard appeared and offered to save him. But the religious man said 'No thanks! God will save me' Finally a helicopter flew overheard and spotted him. They lowered a ladder to help save the man from drowning. But the man refused, telling the helicopter pilot that God would soon arrive to save him. Days went by and the man eventually drowned. When he got to heaven, he stood before god and asked why he did not save him from drowning despite his absolute faith and trust in him. 'Why didn't you save me Father?' the man cried. To which God replied, 'What do you mean? I sent a fishing trawler, coastguard and a helicopter to save you but you refused'. What if Jesus is already here and we're all missing him?

It was talking about the destruction of Israel in AD70, at least that is what the majority of believers understood, this started changing when Scofield and Darby started teaching in the mid1800’s an old counter to protestant reformation by a jesuit, priest, named Fransisco Ribera in 1585ish. Don’t get me started on the council of Nicaea, that introduced the Trinity into the Church

When He returns, the righteous dead will be resurrected, and together with the righteous living will be glorified and taken to heaven, but the unrighteous will die. The almost complete fulfillment of most lines of prophecy, together with the present condition of the world, indicates that Christ’s coming is near. The time of that event has not been revealed, and we are therefore exhorted to be ready at all times.
