Wow.. this comes to show instincts for me and people meeting in life to show us where we need to grow. she was afraid deep down of being judge , intuitively, and that’s exactly what he did. Very strongly and meanly too. He went above and beyond. She recognized her shortcomings and opened up and became vulnerable. But he showed no appreciation for that fact. And just went ahead and made a reality her fears.

When Patrick was about to come back in I'm thinking "dude, just be cool, forgive her, and you're gold." Like, she obviously liked him, she was apologetic for everything, and she would've been absolutely smitten with him if he'd just been cool. Instead he just belittled her. She was dumb for not knowing about needing a passport, but people can learn. It was immature of her not to call him, but people can mature. He just sounded like a jerk. I kind of hope he's still alone, but at the least I hope he looks back at this with regret. Also, over half of Americans don't have passports.

I feel both are at fault. The lady for not being upfront and saying when he asked if she wanted to go to Mexico that she didnt have a passport and the guy for being an asshole because she doesnt have a passport. In my opinion why spend the money on a passport if you dont plan of traveling?

It’s a mistake on both of them. Patrick should not have assumed she has a passport cause it is almost a stereotype that Americans don’t often travel overseas or to other countries and mostly travel to neighboring states, and she should’ve spoken up and apologize to him as soon as she found out

Saying YES to Mexico, the guy dropping HIS OWN HARD EARNED $$ for the trip for the 2 of them and her completely blowing him off (she could have had respect to call or text him so he KNEW you didn't blow him off). 25, never had a passport, may possibly never get one. I do know you need one to fly on a plane (even if it's to another place in the country...? I think?) If i planned to take a trip on a plane I'd definitely know to get one in advance
