I almost died today. A random robber tried to kill me today if I didn't do some differentiation so he could file his taxes. Fortunately, I answered him just because of this video. Turns out he was just randomly murdering people who don't know math. Ended up killing like a bunch of elderly

Hi Mitch, :) When you say that the sign has to change from left to right to be an infelction point, what sign are you referring to?

To be an inflection point, we need two things to happen: 1) Second derivative at that point is zero 2) The sign of the second derivative goes from positive to negative, or from negative to positive when we look from left to right of the point identified in 1) - that means that the concavity changed, and so it went from opening up to opening down, or else opening down to opening upwards. In either of those cases, it's an inflection point
