Morning Doug, Tampa here. It's sad that we are being overwhelmed by MEGA ships, and the smaller ships that some of us like, will be obsolete. I think it will be sad when these MEGA ships will not be allowed to dock, because of environmental issues, or like Tampa, (and Jax) they will not be able to sail under out bridges. We don’t need a mega ship in Tampa! We were fine with the Nordic Empress and the Majesty of the Seas. It’s a shame MSC never entered the Tampa market.

Mornin' Doug! Perhaps I'm a cynic, but I thought it was odd RCCL's new ship was dedicated to three and four night cruises... until you mentioned each cruise includes a day at Perfect Day. That schedule doubles the opportunity for guest private island spending. I suspect that's going to be ok with a lot of cruisers and really ok with investors.

Of course, I would be insistent that they wear the original crew outfits from the show when onboard! 😂 Imagine sitting at the bar and Isaac serves you a cocktail!

I remember the first time I cruised and how mad I got at The Love Boat because they misled me as to how big a cabin was 🤣🤣. The ones on the show were huge!

Yeah that show was so so so misleading. Can you imagine the crew from the captain on downward monkeying around with the passengers? Having drinks, dinner and un ah…….”visiting” the guests staterooms? And like you said, the rooms were so big as well as the crews rooms🤣. The show did so well for so long because there was nothing else on tv on a Saturday night! If you weren’t out on the town or were a babysitter this was your big event !

Yes they did get it wrong,... by today's standards. We watch the reruns on MeTv every Sunday and I always think that it would be great if one of the cruise lines did an updated version showing how huge ships are now, all of the many many amenities and activities on ships now, and of course the great differences in boarding these days where you know well before you board the ship what cabin you are in.

I remember seeing skeet shooting on one of the Love Boat shows too. And golf, driving balls off the ship into the ocean, but that might have been a different show?

It would make more sense to have the Love Boat cruise go to the Mexican Riviera since that's where the ship went during the series.

I priced a 4 night cruise on Utopia earlier this year and RCL is out of their minds and out of control. It was $4,300 for a Solo in a Balcony. That didn't include gratuities or all the other extra bs you get like WiFi, Excursions, etc.

Off subject, but there is currently a Covid-19 outbreak on the Carnival Mardi Gras. Me and my friends tested positive and it was confirmed the day after embarkation that following Monday 25 people tested positive and Carnival did not report it. Can you please gets the news out ASAP!

Wish the cruise lines would stop allocating all their ships to 3-4 day cruises. We mainly sail RC but it costs a lot for us to go cruising from the west coast in airfare, travel time, and hotels. It is not worth it for such short sailings. We also have no interest in these large, crowded, noisy money pits.

Dreadful. A floating high rise city. I'd rather go where I have the luxury of solitude, far away from silly crowds. Each to their own and there's no accounting for taste.
