Great gift idea! I've heard so many people say they are intimidated by fancy journals so this would be perfect. This is awesome! I knew as soon as you brought out those books that there was something amazing inside them, and I wasn't disappointed! I am 100% one of those people who has a really hard time writing on something so beautiful... but these are the perfect amount of beautiful and useable! This is so perfect! I LOVE the idea that these are more casual everyday . My daughter won't use the journals I give her - she says the same thing, to nice to write in! I had the perfect vintage "Hints From Heloise" paperback to start on. Since I don't have many paperbacks ( just finished cleaning out our bookcase for Goodwill LOL) but had to make at least 5-8 immediately....LOL....I made a template from the Heloise PP - perfect cute stout size and went searching for vintage PP book covers on Google. They had some really cool funny ones from the 60s, SCi FI and Detective were the coolest I can totally relate to not buying anything new. I HAD to put my foot down, I was getting ridiculous! I have a really good example I think everyone will get a chuckle out of.... I too purchased a Sizzix machine early on (regular larger size). Wasn't using it and thought the reason was because it was too big to lug out of closet. So I purchased the smaller side kick ( shhhsh no sizzix shaming here)...and while I have at least used the smaller one some...I probably would have been fine without that purchase. I NEED to have a SIzzix day.....just emboss and cut all day long LOL

I love this idea❤️ Those French paperbacks are the best. Hopefully our library sale will return this year since that’s where I’ve seen those before. We also have little neighborhood library boxes that people build in front of their homes so others can take and leave all manner of books. That’s really cool.

A great idea that is not a long process to make. I have lost my interest in creating anything due to health issues but I am hoping that I can make something soon.
