Thank you for the comment. We had previously looked at the house in July when my nieces husband, who lives right down the street, told me about the house and he said they were wanting 4 million THB. It's a second house for somebody that lives in Bangkok. He also told me that they would probably be willing to go lower. I like the area but it seems a little expensive for what it is.

The problem with these countries are the strict residency requirements and large cash deposits to qualify. This needs to be factored in just as much as any potential real estate purchase. Only the Philippines offers flexibility with tourist visa extensions, Senior retirement visas and marriages to a Filipina.

Thank you for the comment and I agree for the most part. I already have a Thai wife so I don't need a marriage to a Filipina :)
