yes yes.. you can use 10w40. 10w or 20w ( w = winters ) represnts temperature during winters . 10 w will also somehow solve the cold start issue.

In TVS user manual TVS says 10w30 grade engine oil is good for 2004v.... So how can you use 10w40 grade engine oil....

that's oil viscosity indicator, you can lower the number to left of W - 10w30 can be 5w30 you can increase the number to right of W - so 10w30 can be 10w40 or you can do both at a time. what is not allowed / not recommended is increasing the left number and decreasing the right one.

First: when you remove the screw so that the oil comes out, you also have to open the lid where the oil is made so that air enters and all the oil can fall . Second: when you change the oil filter, you have to add 100ml more, in total you should have thrown 1300ml, doing the wrong things confusing people who are learning and they will damage their motorcycles .
