Hi +Rajesh, Nissin from R15 is great. I find the stock brake pads to be good. As you know rear brakes must be progressive in action & the stock one does a fairly good job. I bought my RTR 200 on Oct 10, 2018... 670KM on ODO... Problem: When I take the bike in the morning, the rear disc is fine... But even before reaching a KM or two, it starts squeaking when pressing the hard... Is this because of new brake pads or alignment issue or something else...? I said this problem in the service centre and they found out that my chain was tight and that's why the brake was squeaky... Then they loosened the chain slackness and oiled the chain... They didn't even touch the Disc Brake... I am a noob in bike things... Please help me...

@thesportztourer7 жыл бұрын
Hi +syed abuthahir, repeat the process after fill brake fluid & at first let some brake oil pass out. Bleed the air out till you feel the pressure on the brake lever hard. Keep pumping the brake lever till you get all the air out of the system. I sincerely request you to get the brakes checked at a authorized service station after you are done. I have changed my brake pads but didn't make a video because if anyone tries it & some error/mistake happens during the process (possible for a new guy) then he/she might face fatal accident due to some innocent mistake. Bro my apache 200 front brake is creating a hell lot of problems such as in slow moving traffic when i apply front brake gently it jams and there is no bite point feels like using a drum brake when applying at high speed such 100kmph front brake feels spongy and front end dives forward too much... I get repaired it many times at tvs service centers they change master cylinder 3 times but the problem is still there moreover they also changed disc pads and calipers but that also doesn't work.... Brake worked for 2-3 weeks but then again creating problems.... I, m in big trouble please help me...
@thesportztourer7 жыл бұрын
Hi +Hasan Saeed, At first I was going to suggest the master cylinder kit replacement but it seems you already have done that. Spongy brake & lack of bite feels indicates air in the system which must be bleed out but I doubt the service center would miss out on such thing (you can give it a try). Now most of the parts in braking system are replaced in you case so do check out you disc for oil/grease deposits. Thoroughly clean the disc with brush & washing shampoo. Later wipe it dry with newspaper/tissue.

Hi sportztourer, I own an rtr 200 too and planning to put sintered brake pads in the front this month coz the stock setup feels inadequate sometimes on long rides. Would you recommend it?
@thesportztourer7 жыл бұрын
Hi +aditya tomar, You can use sintered brake pads but sintered brake pads cause excessive wear of the disc plate due to the harder brake pads material.
@stock_biker7 жыл бұрын
The Sportztourer Thanks mate, I guess I should go for it. Replacing a rotor in my opinion at least is a far better option than having a serious crash due to inadequate braking power. The stock ones are organic for sure and I really never had confidence in them.
@thesportztourer7 жыл бұрын
Hi +aditya tomar, If possible also go for steel braided lines they surely help in increasing the brake force on the caliper with minimal loses.
@stock_biker7 жыл бұрын
The Sportztourer Thanks a lot for the suggestion pal, I was actually thinking of them too but couldn't find them anywhere around. Did some research online and no luck there too. Could you please suggest some site or something where I can get them?
@thesportztourer7 жыл бұрын
+aditya tomar, Getting custom parts in India is a bit problematic, Galfer & Spieger makes braided line in lots of sizes & banjo options. infact Spieger even offers custom braided line option: www.essexparts.com/spieger-custom-ss-lines Cost & Shipping charges brings these options down for most of us. I have seen people using Pulsar 220's steel braided lines in their bikes but I don't exactly know the resultant on brake performance after using it.
