Third person shooters with psionic powers should have been a trope that took off, unfortunately that wasn't the case. Both Second Sight and Psi Ops were considered good but underperformed, while Infernal was so hated that it killed the studio, something that I consider slightly unfair. I actually did a review on my channel.

That was one hell of a Gauntleting :) :) (I couldn't even tell that there was anything wrong with the audio. They sounded different but I couldn't say that one was worse than the other

The expansion pak certainly didn't help. The game could likely run without it but I'd wager it would run horribly.

It's nuts how your copy of the game bought second hand is in that pristine condition. You go into a game store and look at a used game that came out a few months previously and think...WTF happened to that case.

What a great video! I’ve never played Second Sight and probably never will, but that twist is freaking awesome. I kinda wanna dig up a copy of the game just for that alone. Good to see Free Radical got another chance.

This one, for me is an "I saw that on Nintendo Power" game, and I didn't know a whole lot about it. I love the twist, though, this whole thing has the vibe of a 00s action popcorn movie and that was very likely intentional by the team. Also, the game is available on Steam for $10 USD! Congrats on the new editing set-up!

Brah, for your space, look into Bass Traps. Foam isn't going to do *anything* for the sound in your space except look interesting. Look up 'DIY Bass Trap' if you want to build them yourself. Rockwool is your friend. Corners are most important. Also, the glass desk doesn't matter much, all hard surfaces reflect. Great video as always.

Oh, I know all about bass traps. I actually went to school and got my degree in audio engineering which involved acoustics training. I got a lot of work to do for this room, but not necessarily much time or money to do it with with all my other stuff going on lol. It'll get there eventually, for now I'll mostly be recording in my basement though.

I don't know why but I always get this and "Geist" (2005) mixed up with each other. Which is strange since they aren't even all that alike, some passing conceptual and aesthetic similarities aside anyway. I guess the idea of "jank shooter with psychokinetic powers from the mid 00's" kind of just has that effect.

I actually liked this game more when I replayed it than when I did originally. I first played it on the PS2, but much later on the PC. I’m pretty sure the controls were better on the PC version. I don’t think it’s a great game, but it holds up better than Psi Ops does. I went back and replayed that somewhat recently and didn’t like it much at all.

@@Dewclaw7787 Nah, I don't actually try to keep them in frame or anything. Only reason I hold my Mic now is because I don't have anywhere to set it down and record while standing atm. Tbh, it's kind of a pain cause it tends to add more noise in the recording from the cable getting jostled around and such.

By team do you mean like, Co-op games or just that you have a party of characters. If you like turn based games and a more western style, like old school D&D there's the Divinity Original Sin games. They're more co-op than team based. You can play 2 player local co-op or online and you and your partner split up a team of 4 characters. If we're talking games with parties there's a lot. Persona 5, Trails of Cold Steel 1-4, atelier etc etc.
