Don’t get discouraged, it’s a gradual learning curve. As you go, the more you start to get to know tones and what your detector is telling you! Your right, not every day is the greatest Saw your first video and it had a bit more reward, that’s what it’s all about and we all have days when it’s like “what am I doing out here” and the next you can be on a roll with the goodies😎

Thanks so much for your comment. I was out for hours today and became a lot more comfortable with the detector. Still much to learn, of course, and it's nice to see progress. A day finding trash on a beautiful beach is still a much better than day than one spent doing a lot of other things.

Nice second video. As you said, learning experience. Remember I´ve mentioned your detector should have a pin pointer on its own so, I just saw it. It is the bottom middle big button. Once you´ve located a target, press it and don´t lose it and start swinging the area where the object is. It will start making a high sound and the high it gets means you´ve found it almost exactly where it should be. Also, in the screen you´ll get a bar or line image that will also tell you where it is. Probably you already figured this out on the next vids. 💪

Thank you. I use it a lot. I have a standalone pinpointer, but it's terrible. I have to be a half-inch from the target for it to work, so I've been using the one on the X-Terra Pro quite a bit. It also helps alleviate those "ghost" signals.

You are in Mexico? Wow! You should crush it! Remember this it is a numbers game! First and most important you can’t let the introvert in you keep you off the busiest beaches! It’s a simple formula! The more people on the beach the more targets there will be! So I would hit all the resorts and definitely hit where all the chairs are at during the day! That’s where you will hit the jackpot! 2nd Whoever is first wins in this game for the most part! That’s why if I am hunting the sand I like to get there a hour before the sun goes down and see where all the chairs are and people are sitting. As people leave that’s when you crank up the hunt ! You will be fine just do your thing on a populated beach and you will score good targets.

I'm in a tiny pueblo about an hour and a half from Puerto Vallarta. We have a small bit of tourism, but no one here wears any elegant or valuable jewelry. For that, I'll need to go to Vallarta. I spend one night there every five days. or so The lowest of low tides are happening this week, so I plan to hunt tomorrow and Wednesday afternoons to make the most of it. There are a few people who hunt with metal detectors, but not many. I'm looking forward to my first attempt in the city now that I'm more comfortable with the machine. Thank you so much for your encouragement and tips. I appreciate it!
