We can change branch only when someone leaves the place to take right? Or all the time? And in almost every video and in almost all topics you memorize things and clear exams then what about the real cognitive, analytical brain growth and skills development ?

You can change your branch at the start of your second year(the forms for which open up at the end of your first year I believe). There's a CGPA criteria, maybe some other conditions if you're on a scholarship. This is after you've gotten your final branch in first year, so after all the counselling rounds, sliding, intra institute etc etc. After the start of second year, you can't change it. It stays permanent. Yeah, that's Indian unis for you. It's the same everywhere, even in IITs. Can't do anything about that. Tho it's not pure memorization, you won't get any direct questions to word vomit in, neither really simple numericals where you substitute and get the answer. It is going to be application based, atleast in Manipal. Memorizing is going to help you pass, understanding and solving questions will fetch you a good grade. As for brain growth and skill development, it's all on you. Everyone everywhere prepares by themselves, whether it be competitive coding, development, masters applications or any other skills. There are a lot of student communities which are really helpful. You can join them and seek help from seniors. If you'd like to work on research papers alongside professors, all you have to do is ask.

yeah you are saying how process happens , I got it , thank you but my question is for example if i want to shift from mechanical to CSE , but if CS department is already full due to ranks or something then even if i get 10 cgpa in 1st also its not possible to shift to CS know bcz no seat will be available

You can change your branch via the CGPA upgrade at the start of your second year. It's on a first come first serve basis. If you get a 10CGPA, you'll definitely get CS. The cutoff in my year was around 9.6 for CSE core, 9.8 for CSE with AI ML and so on, I've explained it in a video, I think the academics one probably.

What do they evaluate in Program Check in OOPS/DS Lab ?

They'll check all your programs and ask you questions on it to verify if you've actually written then yourself or copied them.

Depends on the teacher. Sometimes they might even check additional. But they'll always tell you beforehand if the additional ones need to be done or not.
