At first I thought this was a simple wood-gas stove, and it is. but just the little bending of the holes and the cut-out bowl makes the flame so much prettier. I have to do this to my own home-made stove now. Thank you for this video, I'll have the coolest stove when bush-crafting now :)
@camp247610 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching the video. Just bending the secondary combustion hole will result in this type of flame. However, a fire ring is always required as well. Build your own stove and see this flame, you will surely be satisfied.😄🔥
This is awesome! Of course the simple idea of angling the ventilation holes is brilliant and may be applied to other similar stove designs, I imagine. And it probably should be mentioned at some point that burning things like this inside a tent can have deadly results if you do not provide proper ventilation, just as a side note.
@camp247610 ай бұрын
Hello. Thank you for your nice comment. And thanks for the advice on ventilation inside the tent. It's not shown in the video, but I'm definitely getting some fresh air. However, we need to take care to alert everyone. Thank you, that feedback means a lot to me.

@camp247610 ай бұрын
Hello. Thank you for your comment. As you say, this is not a safety video. When handling firearms, do so at your own risk. However, it seems that some people have different ideas. There were also harsh comments about how such a flame should be lit inside the tent. My life is important to me as well, so although it's not shown in the video, I use ventilation and a carbon monoxide measuring device.😀

Simple build, accessible, calming voice over, beautiful slow motion video. I love this! I am curious if an clay pot of the right size would work similarly. It would have the benefit of heat retention and radiant heat more efficiently.

Hello. thank you for positive comments. The material is clay pot which is very unique. It also has heat storage properties which is nice. I don't think there will be any problems with clay pots as long as they have secondary combustion holes.😄

@camp2476 Жыл бұрын
@camp2476 Жыл бұрын

Hello. I'm glad that seeing this flame brought back fond memories of your childhood. Great comments like this encourage me to continue making videos. thank you very much.😄🔥
Thank you for sharing your stove build. One thing that many people don't account for is the correct direction of spin of the incoming air, which you got correct. In the northern hemisphere the Coriolis Effect is in the counter clockwise direction. Beautiful engineering with the cut bowl.
@camp247622 күн бұрын
Thank you for your nice and valuable comments. It encourages me to make more videos. It's the Coriolis force, the force of bending. When a pitcher throws a 100km/h (28m/s) straight ball to a catcher, it is said that it will bend 0.88mm at 17-18m. A 1000m/s cannonball will bend 7.3m at 10km. If the air speed coming out of the secondary combustion hole is 1-2m/s, the bend at 10cm away will be...0.000◎mm. At this stove level, there is almost no effect of Coriolis. It is often said that the vortex of a bathtub drain rotates clockwise and counterclockwise in the northern and southern hemispheres, but it seems that it is the same or opposite in the northern and southern hemispheres. It seems that there is still no scientific proof... I'm surprised that this is such an established theory, but it has no basis. However, it may be best not to go against nature.😀

Hello. Thanks for your comment. Propane gas has a blue flame, so it is completely combusted. I don't think secondary combustion is possible. The secondary combustion flame this time is orange and has not completely burned. Therefore, the unburned gas is burned as secondary combustion.😀

Hello. Thank you for your comment. This is made from a paint can. It takes time to buy materials, tools to process them, and most importantly, to make them. Therefore, you can create a tornado by simply bending the hole in a commercially available secondary combustion stove. Please watch this video for reference. Stoves are also sold on Amazon USA, etc. Try searching for "Solo Stove". (sorry if you are not USA) Video that makes a tornado kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGTCoJ9riKtlpMU

@camp2476 Жыл бұрын
Hello. Thanks for your comment. You have great powers of observation. You notice that at the exit of the secondary combustion hole, the flow momentarily flows in the opposite direction (180°) to the vortex. This occurs when air hits the protrusion created by bending the secondary combustion, creating turbulent flow (swirlpool) behind it. Therefore, at the exit of the hole, the direction of the vortex is momentarily reversed. After that, it flows in a spiral direction. Another observation is that only air is coming out of the holes, and the flame is occurring between the holes. It's interesting if you look closely.😄
