Explained this way better than any of my theory teachers did while I was at school! Now I finally understand, also using a tune as an example made things so clear for me. Thanks Louie!

hahaha yeeeeeeee. its something at least. still a rough draft but i figured i just get my thoughts out for my students to fall back on. that tune is perfect for secondary dominants though!!!!!! it has what i call all the 'diatonic secondary dominants'

what did you think think of the altered secondary dominants idea and how it uses all the parallel minor pentatonic notes? I learned that at my church gig years ago.

@@ElectricLouieLand It helped me understand it way easier. I'm not a huge music theory/scales person, but to me relating it to a sound (blues/pentatonic) helps me audiate it on my instrument.
