Secondary survey

The Secondary Survey, or top-to-toe survey, is carried out once we're satisfied that we have a living, breathing patien. The purpose of the survey is to identify any additional injuries beyond the obvious.
This video talks you through the process, explaining exactly what you're looking for and what various signs and symptoms may indicate.
In all cases, if there are serious injuries then you should call the Emergency Services immediately
