Found this song by accident. Was thinking to myself it would be cool to cover "young american" by David bowie but with a soulful feel to it with an acoustic guitar. Well a simple Google search later and I've found my answer. Love the Melodica in this as well! Def an overlooked and underappreciated instrument. Well you guys have gained a new fan! Heard the Bowie original on the radio today and it struck me that his soul phase [or cocaine period]actually produced his best and and most enduring song in Young Americans.Also struck me that it would make a fantastic acoustic /unplugged tune so went searching . Glad I did what a version !What music is all about ,keeping it real . 10/10

One of my favourite songs from one of my favourite records, This version impressed.me and my ten year old daughter so much. Just lovely. Bought the original around 75 on cassette. Big Bowie fan much of my life but life has been very busy. Just picking up guitar again and learning this. Just wish I was one of those kids.
