Hatton is a beast, never ducked anyone is his career and always went after the best only has 2 losses against 2 of the best that have ever lived!

@extradutyfelt1 you"ve got to be honest! Style"s make fights, but more importantly the way a Referee lets that fight evolve is key to the outcome. Joe Cortez, allowed Hatton to fight on the inside against Castillo, but hardly allowed him to do so against Mayweather. So not only was Ricky fighting the best fighter in the world, but the way Cortez acted in the fight also suited Floyd, Ricky never had a chance.

@SmellsLikeNirvanna another thing, when Freddie Pendleton was counted out by Hatton, by body shot, he said it was the most pain he had ever felt, Freddie had shared a ring with Roger Mayweather, Frankie Randall, Vince Phillips, Tony Lopez, Jorge Paez, Felix Trinidad & Pernell Whitaker amongst others. But said the body shot Hatton hit him with left him in agony on the canvas! Hatton vs Pendleton is on youtube..

fights back on bro....... i'm american...... i'm definately pulling for Hatton love the guy and the way he fights. but i wouldn't sell Pac Man that short. he's shown he can take a beating and still win. gonna be a tough fight for sure, neither fighter is a pushover

Totally agree, I am from the UK so we can get that out of the way first but I genuinely cannot stand Joe Calzaghe as a fighter and I think the way he suddenly got over his fear of travelling to take on faded legends who would have eaten him up in their prime is shameful. I got nothing but respect for Ricky on the other hand who sought out the best fighters.

@extradutyfelt1 if you don"t understand how a referee can influence a fight, i can"t help you! Joe Cortez was biased against Hatton. He shouted break twice as many times in the first 4rds in the Mayweather fight, than he did in the fight Hatton had with Castillo! Thats just a fact...
@kyleinaction14 жыл бұрын
Tszyu, Malignaggi (he can't be a scrub for Hatton AND a big win for Khan; he's a good win for anyone), and Castillo are not easy wins. I don't think people understand what "over-rated" means. No one ever, ever, rated him above Mayweather or Pac. But that doesn't mean he still isn't a beast. The welter-weight division today has as many talented fighters as the heavyweight division in the 60's. And no one made it out of there undefeated.

@SmellsLikeNirvanna Hatton was recognised as the Ring number 1 at lightwelter weight when he beat Tszyu, in Kostas previous fight he smashed the number 2 in the division Sharmba mitchell in 3rds! So he wasn"t "shot" when he faced Ricky. Hatton is best body puncher of last 25yrs, how? he has more count outs than any other champion, so he didn"t just stop them with body shots, he left them on the floor for the full 10 count! Hatton broke 3 of Castillos ribs...

That will happen only if the great continent of Gondwanaland will appear again between Europe and America. Meaning, that is beyond your wildest dream. Even the combinations mentioned by Hatton cannot be noticed in his last fights.

The best Brit is Calzaghe, quite obviously. But after that, it IS Ricky. It ain't Witter (although he does deserve to get in there with Ricky)... and it ain't the likes of Alex Arthur or C Woods. You COULD make a case for David Haye, but really.. who is there at Cruiserweight and Heavyweight? They're thin-dry divisions. Haye would get better fights out of LHWs moving UP to Cruiser. At HW, there's only a handful of boxers who will be competitive w/ Haye. Klitchsko-Haye will be gr8.

@aZnsOnLinE i dont understand.....Tony Jaa is a actor AND a martial artist.....so why would he not be a fighter...just because he is an actor also does not mean he cant fight...its just like saying Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Chuck Norris cant fight because they are actors...its very insulting to say the least...

@SmellsLikeNirvanna I guess the point here is: you don't like Hatton, and I do. The results, numbers and stats in boxing (like in many other activities), depend of the achievements, not deserving. And you could speak whatever you want, but that doesn't change mine or people who like Hatton's mind. With all due respect for you and your point of view. Greetings.
@thatjamicanguy15 жыл бұрын
@cheebah what you say is very true, but Ricky Hatton right now can only go so far fighting the quality of competition of top P4P fighters, he WILL lose. Look at Cotto, only 2 losses, yet he's at the end of his rope. If he fights top P4P fighters, he's just going to lose unless he learns to fix all his flaws

i like hatton always have,, and i dont think he,s over the hill yet. i jus think he needs to tweek his defense, keep his composure,, stay patient. coz wen your at top rank with the likes of mayweather & pacquiao they will tear ppl apart if they do wat hatton did. they can c it coming from a mile.......hes jus become bit too predictable in his style and lazy wit his defense.....still the best british boxer we have, i think
@TylerDurdenK714 жыл бұрын
Everybody loses eventually. There is no shame in losing to the best. The real losers are the people that only accept fights they know they are going to win. It is not about if you lose but how you overcome it. Embrace the loss, learn from it. Anybody calling Ricky a bad fighter for losing to Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao must be brain dead or just plain right stoopid.

@aZnsOnLinE Well during this past week ive actually come to believe that what you say is true. I only said that to ddbd because he was being an ass. But im just saying, i know boxing takes skill but i see people that have skill as people like Tony Jaa who have variety in their arsenal. Which is why i said i dont think Mayweather is the most skilled fighter in his Generation

@bryz2034 maybe i should fight 100 ten year olds, win them all and say my record is 100-0. Yea Hatton is a better fighter than me, but all i said was he is overrated and fought mostly virtual unknowns. Which is almost true, his two loses were against top dogs, and he lost really quickly, by knockout, walk in the park for manny and floyd. Btw, my name is a weird al song, not nirvana. Im neither a big fan of both, so yea bryz20315435.
@ButchersBoys14 жыл бұрын
@TheeNameIsBrandon oh so that means that mayweather and manny are overratted because they beat a bum like hatton...it all makes sense now....2 of the best boxers in the world beat hatton so he`s over rated hahahha

@petshop112i im sorry but Jose Castillo would only qualify being a non virtual unknown. Ricky Hatton has never deserved the unbeaten streak, and he doesnt deserve such a proud record of 47-2. He is just an immensly overrated boxer.

kostya was over the hill ricky is nothing but a tought club fighter and hes style is so boring to watch punch hold punch hold punch hold

Hes a pretty overrated fighter, he can just beat the easier opponents. Once he comes against top dogs he loses. And hes only came against 2 of them, so 2 losses.

yh ok fair point but hatton is shit, proved it in his last fight against lazcano..unlike mayweather who is unstoppable. And actually i think mayweather is an entertaining fighter. Hatton is gd but i think his time has come to put the gloves away.
