so glad to have found a media interaction with floyd where they actually show him the respect he deserves. And you can see how nice guy he is when you dont treat him like a peice of shit for no reason like most other interviews with him ive seen :(

When he fights he is pretty boy floyd. Let's not get it twisted that other persona is out of the ring when he is enjoying himself. Yet he is not as arrogant as Adrien Broner. Floyd has calmed down due to getting older.

Sun432 Money mayweather is a persona he created to make more money. It started after he left Bob Arum, he knew he needed to sell himself. Based off what he made over his career, it's fair to say he succeeded.

They both existed at the at the same time, his hands didn’t allow him to allow pretty boy to have free reign, so $ took over, pretty boy is still very much there...

Great to actually view a fighter like Floyd, who fights with brains. Boxing isn't about getting your head beat in, just to win a match; better yet a brawl! The real art of boxing is making the other fighter miss; beating him to the punch, and still getting the job done. Enjoy your retirement, Floyd!

Floyd is humble and has a big heart, floyd choose to be the bad guy of boxing like he said, he foes alot of giving back but dont want it public, but he recently made a dying kid dreams come true who has cancer, the kid gave up but floyd yold him to keep fighting and he'll be praying for him, floyd donate, help poor ppl etc. i livein vegas i hear stories about him

the anonymous Yea, there are forums and comments on KZbin saying people who met Floyd in real life, say he is a nice guy. He did a lot of nice things. He funded a child's surgery, took guys off the street and gave them a job. Bought houses, cars, etc... gave them a means to live life. He's like a real life Bruce Wayne - a hated rich playboy for public persona, but in secret, a nice guy with a good heart.

"real boxing fans appreciate defense" true, and why im a huge fan of the best boxer in the sport undoubtedly. it's why he's favored to beat pacquiao at the sports books and it's why he's going to beat a pacquiao who's used to fighting guys who stand right in front of him and come forward. great video.

around 1:50 floyd's natural defense. He's talking to the guy and subconsciously blocks his shot at the same time. Funny but it shows how his natural reflexes have gotten to a point where he can have conversations and remain defensive.

this guys technique is amazing but what surprised me the most, is how likable mayweather is in this video. especially as im a pac fan :) who cares who you like better though, there both tremendously skilled fighters and its one of those match ups where in 10 fights you could get 10 different results, hopefully we at least get too see it once though!

Definetly a great vid. If boxing were a large tree than he just gave us a piece of a leaf. He has a lot to offer and it's nice to see him in vids like this. Showing other aspects of his personality. I think you make a good point brownhornet71. But I also think some of Mayweather's antics turns people off because they take him way too seriously. He is the fighter of his generation and he likes to have fun. What on earth is so bad about that?

I don't understand why folks decide to search for a Floyd Mayweather youtube video where he's technique and the first thing they do is call him names and bring up other fighters. Funny thing is, I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of PBF detractors took mental notes while viewing this clip and probably tried to practice some of his defensive moves.
@HaloedG
@HaloedG 14 жыл бұрын
This video raises a good point about Mayweather's mental game. This is why he talks trash and steps in his opponents' face. He tries to learn the fighter's personality and their reactions to try and create his gameplan in the ring. Does Pac do this?

The man is a genius in the ring no doubt and he has nothing to prove. In fact it's the guys like Cotto, Margarito and Williams that have things to prove. They are all champions but what have they really achieved and who have they really fought?

Actually, Floyd was offered $8 million, right after He bought himself out of his contract with Arum. At that time it was more money than Floyd had made for any fight. I used to think Floyd wasn't ducking him. But I think he is. Right now is the time to Floyd to fight him. Lots of money for that fight. Although I think he would have earned more had he fought Cotto(if Cotto didn't lose.)

I totally agree with you PhillyPugilist, Flyod not fighting Pacquiao right away has nothing to do with him dodging Manny. It s just a question of time, as long as Floyd is still healthy HE WILL FIGHT PACQUIAO. The Marquez bout is a tune up fight for Floyd. It will also up the money for the Pacquiao fight wich is like you say inevitable. People will always say Floyd s scared of this guy or that guy then when he takes on the actual guy and whoops his ass they say the guy was a nobody.

Back then, Pac was a straight forward one hand puncher & Mayweather probably could school The Pacman. Now, Manny doesn't move in straight lines & has increased his speed & power & accuracy at a higher weight, as well as improved right-hand. Pacman is without doubt most improved fighter in any weight? But still, I repesct PBF's talents, u can see no other boxer boxes or thinks like he does. I guess that's why he has many fans, he represents the thing called 'Sweet Science'.

All due respect, I dont think Baldamir, Gotti and Judah is in the same class as JMM, Pacman or Sugar Shane. I think Floyd would have schooled Pacman over a year ago...But regardless of fighting a weight-drained ODH (who everybody thought was gonna still whoop Pacman) & a defenceless Hatton, Pacman will be a completely new challenge, much tougher than anybody he's ever fought.
