I was trying to work out if this is possible, but i couldn't find anything in the editor, however if we set the same points for wins, draws and losses, the points would then be meaningless so all that would matter is GD! This might be a video i could get out as soon as next week!

Would love to see how much chaos would ensue from reversing the tv and prize money within the English leagues. I imagine it would absolutely destroy the top clubs but would there be more of a bounceback? Would champions league money keep the top clubs afloat?

I don't know how many people noticed, but there's another twist in this points system. Teams on same points are still ranked on goal difference, higher goal difference, higher rank. So it's not just that you have to lose, but you have to lose with minimal goal difference.

@@Secondyellowcard can't you? Some league formats are programmed to change from a certain year onwards because it happens in real life, no? Like I recall when I had a FM21 save in the Netherlands, teams couldn't be relegated from the second tier until a few years into the save

I understand that It was impossible to do Win - 0, Draw - 1, Lose - 3, but you should keep the ratio, so for example Win - 2, Draw - 3, Lose - 5

Another one that I noticed while looking at the rules editor would be to give money to teams for losing (or invert the final TV + Prize money in the league), to try and achieve something similar to the NBA draft for losing teams get assets to rebuild and bring parity.

You should put together an online save with 20 people trying their best to lose games. You'd have to have some sort of stipulation that requires people to have decent players, or just give everyone full teams of players with identical stats. Then have everyone pick their tactic and formation, and simulate the season. It would be fascinating to see what crazy stuff people would come up with.

A more direct flipping given the issues with bugs would be 5 for a defeat, 3 for a draw and 2 for a win. That way everyone gets 2 points per game just for showing up, then the 0, 1 or 3 on top.

I honestly expected every team to be yo-yo teams on a much bigger scale. I thought the big teams would get relegated, Become worse as a result of the relegation but still good enough to get relegated again while the small teams would be promoted, Become better but not good enough to compete with the rest of the teams in their league causing them to get promoted and then eventually the small teams will become better than the big teams in each division so the big teams would go back up again while the small teams go back down again and the cycle would keep repeating until it doesn't seem that far off a 100 year FM career save.

Video idea. Videa? Anyway when the East and West German leagues were unified, they kind of did the East German teams dirty, and put them in leagues below the west German teams. How about we rectify it? The simplest way would be to fill the Bundesliga up with the highest rated east German teams (might need some custom leagues), relegate the others, and see if the east German teams get an advantage from there on. Or a more complicated way, keep the Bundesliga, create a new 'super German division' or something, put the east German clubs in, and let the Bundesliga teams get promoted into the new league. At the very least, it will stop German football being a one horse race.

This would be a very interesting save to actually manage a team in. I could imagine basically having to juggle two teams at once - maybe you just play the youth squad in the Premier League and then you play the really good players in the international competition :D. I also wonder what this kind of mechanic does to a form and progression of a player. You lose a match, thus your players will actually have bad form. But you go up in the table and eventually win the league, so it will be fine again...? :D It's even more interesting when you think about the board, you keep losing so you might lose your job, but losing means you rank higher up in the table, so you might keep it...? Maybe you get fired while winning the league? :D

If you open steam, then go to library, at the top left there will be a drop down that says games, if you click that and make sure tools is ticked, it'll appear in your steam library and you can install and use it from there. It is weird how well hidden it is
