Gordon Ramsay OBE is arguably the most famous chef in the world. His global restaurant empire has been awarded 17 Michelin stars; he has hosted some of the biggest shows on UK and US TV, including Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares; and he has a string of bestselling books. The internet loves Gordon Ramsay and a cool 60 million people follow him on social media. His new book, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay: A Story of Excellence is out now.
Angela knows exactly what Gordon likes to eat and prepares him a delicious crab linguine with chilli and garlic. Nick pours a vintage English sparkling wine, Gusbourne Exclusive Release, to toast Angela’s birthday and later some Soave, which is paired with the meal by the experts at Waitrose.
This is a really special episode as Gordon and Angela reminisce about the early days of Aubergine, the restaurant that launched their culinary careers. Nick learns a thing or two about Michelin stars, while Gordon talks family, fitness and TikTok.
This episode was released in September 2023 and was the first episode from Series 4 of Dish from Waitrose.

I fully get that this is like, an advertisement for Waitrose, but I feel like this show should be a full-length, possibly 1 hour long weekly Netflix series with a combo of the interview of the guest and with a full cooking/baking segment. I desire this content.

it reminds me of when companies sponsored television shows in the 50s and 60s. podcasts usually have ad breaks. this one doesn't

I Love Gordon Ramsey. He once stopped a show to listen to my request when I put up my hand to say, “Excuse me, but we can't hear you in the back, and we don't want to seem rude by not laughing and enjoying your banter while you cook”. He gave me a free copy of his book and thanked me for letting him know there was an issue. Then afterwards he signed my book ❤

The irony is he is know for throwing hot pans at his employees and saying on hot ones that he doesn’t respect the youths cause they don’t have the old school work ethic of working unpaid. It’s in two statements but it is there. He said he would be fired for refusing to work unpaid on Sunday evening and he said young people don’t work as hard as people used to.

I treated my Mother to the full Restaurant Gordon Ramsay experience and we both were bowled over. My mother, for my 40th, treated me to Angela Hartnett's Murano experience and we thought we had died and gone to heaven. We love both Angela and Gordon. This interview along with Nick is just smashing. Love it!

Cause we booked a hotel room that turned out not to have any proper cooking area and 1 small pot, random utensils, which he was annoyed about cause he couldn't pouch the eggs. So I said leave it to me.... when he asked how'd I learn how to pouch eggs so perfectly.... Gordon of course 😊. I've learnt soooooo much cooking skills from Gordon's videos on KZbin. And am sooooo chuffed when people ask and I say Gordon taught me 😁🤣🤣🥰❤️

The 16-hour shifts killed him and our relationship. He manages a car dealership now. Still talks about the kitchen craic and holds fond memories. He says never again though. 😂 ended up with a drug and alchohol problem. What they dont tell you about is the drugs.
