Not to be weird, but I would kiss you and take you to dinner for saving my SANITY. I've been in a losing battle with some beads, I've tried ALL my tricks...and nothing. The superglue hack worked like magic. Omg. I...got superglue ..everywhere, but! The cord slid in no problem, and I do not care I got glue on my favorite shirt. I've been all day fighting with the cord and these beads, but fam. You saved my sanity. Omg, you're literally brilliant. Thank you SO MUCH!!!!! 😂❤❤❤❤

Not weird at all. I am so happy, I feel the same way 😅. I know of the spinning technique but when you are working with different colors to form patterns, that approach doesn’t work. So I very much appreciate this video for saving me from frustration as well.

I don’t like using super glue because I am super clumsy and always end up gluing my beads, or the cord to my fingers or gluing something not meant to be glued! I use the same trick about cutting the cord at an angle, but I get a small dot of Elmers clear school glue and twist it onto the end and let it dry. I can just rub off any glue on my fingers and it stabilizes my cord.

My pearl beads will not accept #2 silk thread with a beading needle. I want to knot the pearls. Any suggestions?

Thanks so much, it's good to be making videos again :) What kind of beads do you have? I have seen people selling entire bead stashes (as in, not necessarily sorted) on eBay. You could also try local Facebook groups (specifically - local bead / jewelry making destash groups are definitely a thing!!) or Craigslist. Not sure where you live but hopefully one of those will be of help!

do you know how to string TWO waxed cords into a single bead? I can't understand how you guys do this in all these videos...

Hi! It's hard to know without seeing the videos but if I had to guess - Are they using "large hole" beads? If they're not using a needle then the beads must have larger holes than the ones you're using (or the cord is smaller) in order to fit both strands of cord through easily. With a needle - it only works if the hole in the bead is big enough to fit 2 strands of the cord PLUS the needle. A big-eye needle is good because you can easily thread the cord, and the needle itself is very thin. Slide the needle to the middle of the cord then thread the beads using the needle and it pulls both strands through together. Cut the needle off when you're done and you have 2 separate strands through all the beads. I hope that helps!
