I don't believe so but if you have a mic with a memory you can just sync the audio. Quality will normally be better anyway.

Great video and comparison with gopro, obviously the quality of the image of the go pro is better than the XTU but... i mean for the price difference, the xtu defends herself good hahah Question: how long does the battery last before charging it?

Nice video sir, the video quality on your XTU looks amazing. Can you share video settings that you capture the video on on the boat trip. Because there is plenthora of settings on the XTU S6. Also what does WDR and LDC do? Any idea. Thanks.

WDR is wide dynamic range which is supposed to improve image quality. LDC is a lens correction setting which is supposed to reduce fisheye.

Nice review, especially full height side-by-side video quality comparison with the flagship GoPro. The video and audio quality both hold up well. Rare for a camera this price. QUESTION: Can you attach a generic microphone to this camera?

I don't think so.... It does have a USBC port but I don't think it would support a mic but it's really beyond my knowledge. Just my guess.

In the settings you should have the audio option for an external mic, so it does support external mic

Great comparison between the two cameras! It's unbelievable how well the xtu performs at its price point. I have bought it for this reason, however am now having issues formatting the SD card. I press it and then when I go to record it says no SD card. Did you also have this issue?

@@DOUGandNIKIThank you for replying. It's with the card that came, but I sorted it now with tech support. Trying to sort out a firmware update issue as well. Apart from that all seems well... Can't wait to properly test it! I'm a racing driver so it will be a real test in the car with the heat and vibrations etc.

@@DOUGandNIKI I drive a Ford Fiesta ST150 in England. It's a very cool opportunity to do development work with go pro! I opted for this camera as it was cheaper and did the same thing basically.
