Secret Check Engine Code Reader On Chrysler 300 Cars!

Found this cool little trick I wanted to share for my 2007 300c SRT Design. Not sure what are all the trims that this works on but give it a shot! Enjoy!

This is how I can check the codes on my 1998 5.9 liter grand Cherokee but it blinks the light and you have to count them and the pause between means new number...so was easier to get a scanner but I think that pretty cool of Chrysler to do.

Had to come all the way back to you're trick, come up with P0 513, car will start then cut off in seconds, code reckons immobilizer not paired with key, so I changed battery and WAHHLAA, she's all go again

almost all chrysler/dodges can do this all the way back to the 80s. but the check engine light blinks the code,, first code 12, which is beginning of the test, then code 12 at end of test.,

I did that same trick on my 2005 Chrysler 300c hemi and didnt give me any codes on the dashboard

Perhaps there's no faults, some Chrysler vehicles show "done" afterwards, so maybe you should wait maybe 15 seconds to see what the display shows....

Hey bro I have 2011 Dodge Charger 3.6 I have it tune on 93 octane and I put the throttle booster 20% more air flow and for some reason it struggles on first gear. I have the intune 3

I personally dont touch those settings since i dont know the correct levels to put everything at. It may be in your best interest to get a custom tune with Overkill Will or Jay Greene so they can optimize it better for more performance.

How did you like the switch ? I have the charger 3.6 and getting rid of it and getting the 300 c rwd at 114000 miles . Any tips? Cons of the 300?

I'm really liking my 300c. Its faster and more powerful than my v6. Love the torque down low feeling. Something my v6 couldn't achieve. 300's are cheap just make sure you get it inspected before you buying.

If my memory is correct, I just cleared the code, and it never came back🧐. Could be the gas cap or a sensor for evap canister. Usually, it's something minor.

Im no expert but from reading online 1. Lost communication with gear shift control And 2. Torque Management Feedback signal A Range/Performance They sound like some serious issues 😬. Surprised your dealership doesn't work on your year car. Where are you located? The 300 forums online are a good source for help. A lot older experience people there with a lot knowledge. .

Some of the articles about reading what the codes mean have tips on what you can do. The 1st thing is check your fuse boxes and wires if possible.

Not necessarily. You can technically still have some even without being notified.

Check engine light ??? Hmmm 🤔 that hemi will be more problems than your v6. And just wait till something goes wrong on that scat pack you plan on getting💵💵💰💰💸🤑💳. You should wait 2020 the v8 camero will start at $34995 best v8 deal period. By the way i have a v6 charger so I'm not mopar hater just looking out

I would never get a Camaro lol! Not practical with kids. The Scat Pack is the perfect car for performance, power, practicality, and comfort. 😎. They are built right and you don't hear a lot problems with them unlike Chrysler's.
