Saw them in New York City in some basement club, it was one of the most extraordinary musical performances I’ve ever seen. Never said a word until the end, never addressed the crowd, just absolutely ripped it for 75 minutes, said thank you and left. Although the show I saw also had a violinist/trumpeter who were a bride’s veil the whole show.

I love watching SC3 live… they’re so damn skilled and this drummer? Amazing

This is one of my favorite lineups for this band! Peijman was a gateway to these "unorthodox" (for an American) rhythms! I had the pleasure of taking a private lesson with him one time, and got some hanging out time as well. Sound is great on this video, thank you for posting it!

One of my favorite bands ever. Without the violinist they still rock the house. This drummer is badass!! Hey dude thanks for the video!

Saw SC3 in 01 or 02 in Atlanta w/ Estratasphere because I was\am a huge Bungle fan. Just saw them in Detroit and can confirm the drummer is Animal in real life. Dude fucking rules!!

I took my daughter to this show and we were blown away by SC3's performance. The video you took is excellent! One of the best live video's I've found of SC3. Thanks so much for sharing.

this was my 3rd time seeing them live. the first 2 times was at Harlows (Sacrametno,Ca). they toatlly should have headlined this show. i love Mike Patton but in all honesty Dead Cross should have opend for Seceret Chiefs 3

It's the star factor. Whatever, I think SC3 gained more fans on that tour than DxCx did.

It's funny, because another time I saw SC3, they played first...then Dengue Fever Played for like, 2.5 hours lol. Still was a long SC3 set, just never know what to expect. Trey danced in the crowd beside me during DF while eating a sandwich!

Naw. SC3 and Dead Cross are awesome for different reasons, but DC has more famous members. That is how shit rolls.

Kudos to Dead Cross for adding this band as an opening act. Takes mega- balls to book an opener that might just be vastly superior to the headlining band. I don't say this as someone who dislikes Dead Cross but SC3 are greatness!!!
@arsmoriendish7 жыл бұрын
It's both perfectly understandable and mysterious to me as to why SC3 aren't... well, bigger. I have no desire to see them become some sort of weird mainstream act but I'm nonetheless glad this tour is exposing them to new fans, which hopefully will only lead to more $$$ going to Trey to fund his extravagant recordings. It absolutely should be a double headline act, but lets face it, Patton and Lombardo both have that name recognition factor that will bring in the crowds and also the humility to let Trey's merry band of cloaked musical assassins slay the entire crowd before Dead Cross even throws their first jab.

How are you a Mr Bungle fan and not aware of what it's members are up to? Chiefs are around since Disco Volante, and were always great and interesting. Even Trevor Dunn and Danny Heifetz were members in the beginning...

Thanks for the video, I'm wondering though what is that fret job on that guitar at the left (the other guy not Trey). Is it set for easier fingering for the phrygian dominant mode or is it a totally different Persian quarter-step kind of a scale?

I would guess Pythagorean tuning.
