Brilliant find. Can't believe the condition of that post. It's a prime candidate to be restored. Good to see it's not been trashed like so many others. Hope all is going well.

Hey thanks, this was one of my favourite abandoned locations to explore because of its wild location and the level of decay. It is a true hidden historical gem 😃

Hello guys, listen, a remember ma faither, who worked for Glasgow Fire Service back in the early seventies, telling us that if a nuclear incident kicked off, they were told to drive straight up the Campsies, forget their families and just head for the hills. The firemen all agreed that wouldn't happen, everyone of them decided they'd spend their time with their families. Why?. They were told they'd be safe as there where underground tunnels up there. If that was the case then why weren't they shown, or drilled on a exercise where the tunnels where. My faither believed that there were tunnels, but would refuse to attend and abandon his family, alongside all his comrades, the reason being, they were never allowed to discover where the so called safety area was.

Only 258 bunkers in uk we are fucked but the elites want to wipe out 75% of earth once they have all the tech and capabilities of Running earth alone they will kick start the extermination of Everyone we Know…

Hey man just found your site. Where is the bunker ? I'm also guessing this must have been some kind of sub-station and there MAY be something else in the vicinity or nearby as there were no beds where you were or any place for supplies etc. I'm trying to find and locate new secret bunkers as they must have been constructed to replace the old ones. I'm sure I found something online a couple of years ago about a place in West Lothian but I can't find the information again (I'm not far from there) . Nice one guys.

Come out of kirkintilloch towards the east pass the garden centre on the left then pass the wee road on the right (Twechar) follow the road for about quarter of a mile on the road to Kilsyth then the road will take a slow bend to the right then onto the big straight road to kilsyth keep an eye out on the Right hand side you'll see the vents sticking up out of the ground. there was a fence round about it at one time but i've been out of Kilsyth for about 20 years should still be there though, NB. it was sold to someone years ago so whoever that was i don't know ? they sold all the stuff inside settees chairs TV gear etc it was like a wee house !! the best folk to see is actually the police in Kirkintilloch they'll know who it was or who owns it etc etc. I hope you find it. enjoy! David.

looks like a Royal Observer Corps post. The corps started in WW2 on the watch/listen for approaching bombers. I think they took on a function relating to aggression from abroad involving either germ warfare or indeed radioactive events. But- as a safety measure don't go underground without a safety man up top in case foul air below might overcome you. It can happen...
