So you want to use up to 9% of your credit limit and then pay it all back, at the latest, 2 days before closing date?
@JNob153 ай бұрын
I commented too early. So now, if you always pay off balances your credit utilization will be 0% and get the 50 points over time? Just making sure I’m grasping this concept. You word it really nice 👍🏼
@GrantTravels23Ай бұрын
@@JNob15problem is if u have no balance at all on the reporting date, u dint establish a history cuz they won't report a change. I would recommend finding out your billing day. Say it is the 15th. I would set up a Netflix subscription payment for the 12th. Let that sit there over the bill date and then have your card automatically pay in full the cc off on the 16th. The first month might look bad, but after that the cc is gonna report paid in full on time every month and carrying a credit utilization of $15 of your available $500 limit. That credit line will increase about every 3 months but the key is to leave that card alone and let it continue to be charged $15 and then paid off the full $15 every month. As that credit line increases, your utilization goes down further and further which helps your overall utilization on all credit lines so long as u do relatively the same thing on every card. I would say never use more than 10% of your credit limit ever. So if u have $1000 limit, that card now only has $100 available credit "for u" to use

@GrantTravels23Ай бұрын
U need a mixed credit history. So get a secured credit card that u have to pay like a $200 deposit too and only put like the $15 Netflix subscription on it. Then set the auto pay off to about 4 days after the auto subscription charges that card. Then cut up or throw that card in a drawer never to be seen again. Every month or so get another cc and set up another generic subscription payment on it like KZbin premium and do the same. Once u get a regular, unsecured cc, buy your $50 a week grocery bill on it and go 4 days and pay that hole $50 off each week. Never go above 30% credit line utilization. If u have a $200 credit limit, I would not put more than 10% ($20) on that card and always pay it off in full

I hate that they use your "average credit age" instead of using the "oldest credit age" to determine your credit score. Example: 7 years of credit age and then you get a new credit card then the score drops because your credit average is now 5 years. I don't like the way this system is set up.

What’s the fastest way to get closed accounts with late payments removed?
@MikeTheCreditGuy4 ай бұрын
That’s a huge waste of time. Remove those accounts and you will destroy your credit score. Anyone that tells you to delete a closed account has no idea what they are talking about. Even if it’s closed and has late payments, it has a lot of positive payment history. Delete it and you will rip that way and destroy your credit score. Attack the late payments instead. Not the entire account fam. Stop listening to whoever told you to do that.
