I just wanna take a moment to express my gratitude to VYC and Dodie. Our VYC JR group chat blew up ever since we found out about the amazing feed back we were getting. Performing this song was one of the most rewarding moments throughout all my years in choir. No words can describe the amount of love I felt from everyone around me and it was so fulfilling to share this with everyone in the audience. So thank you to everyone; VYC, Carrie, Dodie and everyone who watched this.

@@ownedbystark4810 Thank You!! The song is about peer pressure and fears...some of which are making mistakes and being bullied for it. Have you noticed the many comments from people bullying those great kids that were less than perfect in the song, like we all are in the world! That is the beauty of the song, we should be allowed to make mistakes, learn from them and be able to carry on without being harrassed. These are great kids who really do care about others................such a fabulous variation on the song, too bad others try to pick out just the minor mistakes.

Imagine, if the first time you heard this song, you were in the church as they sang it. They’re popping up signs and one, two, or even more of them really hit home for you. You’re listening and thinking “man, I needed to hear this today. I’ve been having such a rough time and this is exactly what I wanted/needed to hear.” And then those kids flip the sign and start smiling and you see your hobbies or things you get enjoyment from on the other side. It knocks the breath out of you. And you feel, just barely, a little more at peace with your current situation. I think this is how Dodie intended the song to be heard. Love it! Beautiful rendition!

I was in the church when this song was performed, and it was very, very moving. Whenever I tried to tell people about it afterwards, I started crying. As a parent and teacher, I know that kids carry many burdens these days, but to see it portrayed in this way was extremely impactful. To the singer who wrote "never being enough", I hope you come to know in a very deep way that you are more than enough.

Thank you to Dodie for writing this amazing and beautiful song that reassures and helps people who are going through tough times. Also, thank you to Carrie, our choral director who is such an inspiration for all of us. I'm proud to be a part of this unique and creative organization. I hope that, in the future, we will be able to perform many more songs together that will surely ignite a beacon of hope and joy in everyone's hearts.
