The hand of Cul Obsidian was recovered from New York after Wong cut it off earlier that movie. Extremis samples were probably taken from one of Killian's old labs (Iron Man III) and the Frost Beast from Loki's home planet was transported to England in Thor the Dark World during the wormhole portal-hoping battle. It was still alive and chasing birds at the end of that movie. (Yes I had to open Disney+ to remember that last one. I was first thinking they got it from Odin's battle with the Frost Giants a thousand years ago, because they stayed on Jotunheim in the first Thor.)

This episode was an acting buffet! These actors ATE every single scene. The train car scene was 1-on-1 great dialogue and emotion The short scene with Fury and Agent Hill’s mother was good The skrull council meeting truly introduced us to our villain and he absolutely murdered that scene with his presence and delivery The Fury and Rhodey scene was one of the best acting scenes I’ve seen in marvel in a little while.

What I loved most about the speech from Rhodey at the bar is the message that just because a minority is now in power, it doesn't mean that now it's different. It's great that people like Colin Powell, Obama, Harris and many more can get the job they had. It doesn't excuse them from committing the same mistakes their predecessors did. The episode was great, and I loved it. Gravik trusts no one and hates everyone, but he still needs other Skrulls to achieve his goal. My favorite part of the episode was Nick Fury's interaction with Talos and Rhodey. I love the allusion to Super Skrulls in this episode. The action scene at the butcher shop is impressive. In the end, I liked the twists and turns of this series. Who do you trust?

It’s one of those classic 3 layer things. “I love how this hundred million dollar productions critiques capitalism and consumerism- they make fun of capitalisms ability to commodify and coopt the culture no matter how it moves- damn they did that and I’m engaged in it rn” Like AI art makes us uncomfortable but it’s incredibly evocative- the fact that many know AI made it and can replace us adds to its evocativeness and it’s power and artistic impact - a corporation literally replaced animators with AI to make it happen. The only way it’s not bad is if the artistic and social impact outweighs it’s harm. Which it may only need to be marginal to do. Or maybe it’s inevitable and art will still be made and our personal resources should be increased by societal changes to ensure we have time to engage and appreciate it. Too many switches and flywheels

I think it fits well for the show. Something of another sort becoming human. It's not human, but you'd never know unless someone told you. The AI being the Kree and acting in a way and position, that you'd expect it to be a person. The whole opening being given to you by the metaphorical Kree. I think it was a good creative choice, implemented in a way, that it should be done. Also, I could have just taken a hard right, on a left, and went somewhere not at all intended.

I deadass am enjoying the very serious side of the MCU here. It was fun watching Gods, the Multiverse, the Quantum Realm and other things post-Endgame. But, it was quite nice seeing something that reminded me of Captain America: Civil War (aka the BEST MCU movie). What a damn great episode. I don't know if whether or not I liked this episode more or liked the first episode more. Yes, it's not as flashy as typical MCU content (which "fans" ironically complained about), but I'm still digging the meaty elements of this show. The tense discussion between Rhodey and Fury, as a Black man in America, was *chef's kiss* Damn, I LOVED it. I also really loved the tense conversation between Talos and Fury on the train. Have I mentioned that this episode was tense? Kingsley Ben-Adir as Gravik? The more I see him onscreen, is shaping out to be a damn great villain. I know people will be disappointed that no big names are revealed to be Skrulls now, but I think the fact that World Leaders and political analysts are scheming behind the scenes is much more topical to right now. Olivia Colman during the torture/interrogation scene was delightfully charming and disturbing. I'm liking her vibe in the show/universe. That twist at the end??? Holy hell! Fury is married to a Skrull!?!?!? WHAT!?!?!? Honestly, if the show keeps up its pace, it'll be up there with Loki and WandaVision and Moon Knight for best MCU Disney Plus show. Can't wait for next week!
