Interesting. I bought an ipad pro. These features were ripped from android apps from 10 years ago. Ipad has them more seemlessly designed into the system. But none of them were created at apple. I am enjoying the ipad, now that it has type c usb. Its the first apple product I have bought. Just catching up on mechanics.

One thing I love about Scribble is being able to scribble over something I wrote to erase it. I turned off the double-tap to switch tools feature because there were too many times I would adjust my grip on the pencil, continue writing only to discover I was now erasing things. I use Good Notes for so many things and I simply got used to tapping the eraser icon at the top, then tap the pen icon to continue. Now I can just scribble over something I want to change; speed and efficiency!

I'm used Spotlight calc for a while - it's not convenient. So i ended up with PCalc Light - it's free, have no ads, and looks like very similar to iPhone calculator. Thank god they added weather app for iPad.

If you hold space bar to move through you’re texts you (on iPad) can also tap shift or delete while holding the space bar and slide, now you can delete large amounts of texts quick:)

Question: When you make a typing mistake, the ipad/iphone will mark it as red. But at the same time, when you tap the marked word, it will select the whole word. , in an attempt to “correct” it. Sometimes ios doesn’t find the right ‘corrected’ word though. The word is still “selected” as a whole. How do I go to a section of the marked word, without having to delete the whole word? Because tapping it will usually open the text selection tool

@@BetterCreating Ok.. here is a list of apps I plan to use.. Fender Play, its a guitar lessons app with human instructors created by Fender.. Gibson Guitar lessons app, Fender Tone, a app that allows you to change, edit and create effects and preset on my Fender GTX guitar amp.. Marshall Gateway, does the same thing as the Fender tone but for Marshall Code 25 and 50 watt amps.. The Spark app, an app for the Positive Grid Spark modeling amp.. Katana Librarian and the Katana Air app, apps for the Boss Katana MKII guitar amps.. Mantis from the Laser Academy, an app used to dry fire indoor target practicing, this app utilizes the camera to stare and targets and keep score, and finally, Final Cut Pro... I have it on my mac mini but apparently I have to get another copy for the tablet.. so based on all of this, which would you go with, the 12.9 or the 11?

I am a new subscriber and have really enjoyed your secret tips for the iPad. I have a question that is not related to the video. I got a glimpse of your calendar when you were talking about the Stage Manager, which is something I need to check out for working with my GoodNotes planned. I Saw that you have color blocks for your events. We had that capability several years ago but I can’t do it now except for the all day event. I have both a GEN seven engine 10 iPad both running 16.3.1 and a MacBook Pro, running Monterey (I teach Digital Scrapbook in and cannot upgrade to Ventura because it will not run on Ventura). My question is…. how do you get the color blocking! Are you running I-Cal or an app that does that, or something else entirely. I looks like I-Cal. I would appreciate any help you can give. I am in the US, not EU, if that makes any difference. Thanks!

Ah OK - Yes - the calendar app is actually Google calendar - think that offers the colour blocks - but you could do the same in iCal by creating multiple calendars. Thanks for watching :)

Hey Simon! Very exciting and informative video, at least for those who are already familiar with icons and widgets etc. Personally, I need the "iPad for iDiots" version, wherever it may be. I have no idea where the "Globe" icon is, (or is that a "widget?"). I have a personal issue tat you may be able to help with: I am a musician and just bought an iPad with the intent of switching from the LyricPad music program to the SongbookPro program, which the rest of my band mates use. I already have the lyrics typed in normal text form and believe I could change those files to PDF files if necessary. My problem is to find a way to move both text and audio files to the locations needed to utilize them in the iPad SongbookPro program. The needed files are currently in my Mac computer. I guess I could move or import them one at a time, but it will certainly be time consuming. Any ideas? I'd really appreciate it.

I have a 5th Gen iPad Pro and stage manager with resizing each window and moving them about is working (iPadOS17.02). Also you don’t hold the Globe Key, you hold the Cmd Key.

2018 IPad Pro 12.9” - if you can - get an M1 chip model up if you are getting an iPad as it will allow for newest features such as desktop external monitor support etc. :)

Great list ! Thanks for sharing. Based on your ‘power user’ use cases I’d say a 12.9 could be better - essentially - if you want more laptop-like vibes for applications or want to do multi-app / split screen work - I’d go for the larger iPad of you can afford it, otherwise, if you want portability and ease of casual use - go for 11’ :)

Hi Luke - no, it’s not a con! As per my comments in the videos, and on the download page: there is a guide video linked to show how the customisation hack on iOS works, and a disclaimer on the website saying that icons design on iOS is not plug and play and involve you building quick shortcuts for adding the icons. The icons being sold are all of the icon designs, and widget templates. I’m pretty happy this is communicated across the sales pages and the videos based on the number of sales and feedback.
