Great stuff, Emil! One possible approach to getting all the flowers in focus might be to take the shot from farther back and then use edit to crop out the extra. As you pointed out, this works best if you have a lot of light and you still might lose a little definition, but it can be a great way to get the same image with all the flowers in focus. Cheers.

These videos are exactly what I’ve been looking for. I stared used by a manual 35mm camera in my early teens . The best advice at the time came from my photography adult mentor My entire life I could see through the lens of a camera even before I bought my first 💯 manual 35 mm. I had a natural eye that I didn’t realize the rest of the world didn’t see things as I did… I aced the couple of college courses. Some how my love for feeding my creativity got lost as life got complicated. My love never left but cameras and photography did. Now I have an iPhone 13 but have way way underutilized the photo capabilities. I am now in desperate search of the creativity as it fills my soul. Unfortunately my health has declined. I still love photography, My heart aches to fulfill the multiple artists creative disciples my mind. Today finding your tutorials gave me hope to actually apply my fuel to feed my soul again. You simplified the iPhone technology in such an easy for me to understand. THANK YOU does not feel adequate. I will continue to watch listen and shoot lots more photos. I really needed to find the very thing that has completely inspired me and is something I can do. Stories so many photos yet to capture. This is good for my soul. THANK YOU! LL

It is not possible to get both subjects in focus in that frame. To do so, you would have to step back and use a different composition or do focus stacking (Combining two images: one focused on the background and one one focusing in the foreground).

@iPhone_Photography_School5 ай бұрын
If you have an iPhone with Portrait mode (such as the iPhone 11 and later), you can control the depth of field. On newer iPhones (like the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max), there’s a Depth Control feature. It allows you to adjust the depth of field after taking the photo. Alternatively, apps like Focos let you change the aperture (simulating depth of field) even after capturing the photo. You can adjust the blur intensity and focus point.

Dear Emil, I have one doubt about the zooming of iPhone camera lens.I use iPhone 12 promax I heard in one of your lessons to use only 0.5x,1x,2.5x. But the zooming capacity of the lens is more and also in between 0.5- 12x I can zoom in 12 promax. But you mentioned in one video if you use more zoom it will be digital zoom where you don’t get sharp picture. I agree with this.We need to use more of optical zoom.But then where can I use the other zoom up-to 12x? What are the indication? What is the use of it? Please explain. Thanks 🙏🏽

@@iPhone_Photography_School It has something to do with photos being upside down when you transfer them to your computer if you dont have the shutter button on the right side when shooting in landscape mode. And when shooting horizontal mode the shutter should be at the bottom. I saw a video about it, it was 10 years old though so maybe they changed how that works. When you watch it on the phone the photo looks correct, but when you transfer them to your computer they would turn upside down. I will try and test this one day to see if this is still so.

You will get the same resolution from both. :) You have the possibility to shoot in 12MP or 48MP with both, you can't go wrong with either option.

This is very interesting. Thanks. It would be nice if there was a way to enlarge the area of focus so that everything would be in focus.
@iPhone_Photography_School2 жыл бұрын
You can get everything in focus if take a few steps back from your subject. When you get close to the subject is when the out of focus effect starts to happen.

Great tutorial, just a thought of the last tip with the flowers, to have them all in focus, maybe just pull the top flower out, then all the flowers would be in focus because they were relatively the same height.

I just purchased a iPhone 13 Pro Max. What is the best way to set and control the shutter speed? I am finding some of my shots are blurry due to a slow shutter speed. Thank you for such an informative video.
@iPhone_Photography_School3 жыл бұрын
You can't manually adjust shutter speed in the native Camera app, but there are some third party camera apps that have this feature. Try Camera+ 2 :)
