I have a theory in mind for sooo long on rachel can technically not be dead.... re-playing LIS after watching BTS and searching and re-reading everything over gives out some clues to as what might have happened and why.. That pieces are fitting in my book tbh.. I can say that david knows about a murder in junkyard, cause when you play LIS and listen to an answering machine, it says (it's like david's voice) saying to chloe to "stay away from the junkyard and you dont know anything about it" "as my friend saw you hanging out there"..... that's a piece. still lot more if you read all (every small detail)

My theory is that Max never left she did suicide instead of going to Seattle but in Chloe's mind she can't coop with it so she imagines max left to Seattle. Max is dead the whole time. In LIS Max was sent to save Chloe before she moved on to the other side hence why she has powers and why the game is based around Chloe and Rachel and Jefferson Max was sent to end the madness it was her journey passing over. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Just to add on, there's this creepy easter egg in Chloe's dream sequence. (the one in the car with the Tempest poster) If you open up the Journal and Messages tab, you'll see a drawing of Max hanging from a tree with the initials MC on it and a string of numbers, 1 26 09. If you check the messages, Max sent 3 texts. "Don't worry." "I'll see you real soon." "When you're dead." Now, this seems dark at first but the three texts were sent at different times. "Don't worry." was sent at 11:57, "I'll see you real soon." was sent at 11:56 and "When you're dead." was sent at 11:55. Now read it backwards. "When you're dead, I'll see you real soon. Don't worry." Creepy much?

Sample 1: "Daddy I'm scared, you/I sound so different" / "Don't go, I'm scared, you/I sound so different" Side Note: This one seems straightforward, but the more you listen to it, the more you pick up on. I'm not sure if she says "You sound so different" or "I sound so different." Both work, however, with "You sound so different" referring to her dream sequences with her father and how he acts oddly for William. "I sound so different," I think is the more interesting one, however. You see, Chloe has never been able to actively address her change from a kind daughter to a broken mess. This could be her inner self crying out to her father, looking for answers, a way through the chaos. But the only answers she gets are telling her to move on, and to leave that part of her behind. Sample 2: "God help, please help me!" / Scraping (Train tracks?) Side Note: This one is really hard to hear and to be honest feels like a bit of a stretch. On the surface, it just sounds like pleading and the scraping of metal, possibly train tracks or a car in American Rust? I had to crank the sound up to hear words, and even then it sounded muffled. To make sure I recorded myself doing these lines and messed with limiters and compressors until it sounded right. My final product sounded very close to the one in the song but it could still just be a coincidence. Sample 3: "Nobody expects me there" Side Note: This one reversed kind of sounds like Ashley Burch's "I loved her so much" repeated a few times. I also noticed that the voice seems different than the others. Possibly could be the original voice line ripped from LIS Proper? Edit: It does bear a certain resemblance to the original and defiantly does not seem like Daughter's voice. Side Note: This one is pretty straightforward, although it is unclear whether she is referring to Max or if this is a flash-forward to when Rachel went missing and Chloe thought that she had left her. I also thought I heard "Save Us" in there somewhere but "She left" makes more sense. "Save Us" could also be a reference to her and Rachel's desire to leave Arcadia Bay, but that's a long shot. In my opinion it's all about a way that Rachel went when being kidnapped 1° Rachel is terrified in a bunker, she knows she's about to die and says "Daddy, I'm scared" like she wishes her dad to help her 2° Rachel is presumably dead, buried at the junkyard, these voices (sounds of train rails) on this recording seem to show where she is 3° She talks about the place where she lies and nobody excepts her to be there. She (her soul?) stars to loose hope for somebody to find her. Maybe there was still possibility to save her at this time - maybe she lied in there unconscious and excepted to find her. 4° Rachel talks about herself in 3rd person and it's already too late to save her - nobody managed to get to her in time and she died (bleed to death or loose her breath idk) It's horrible and disturbing when you think about it in that way

If you let her be, Chloe sits down next to her and Rachel says, "Chloe, I'd really like some space right now." Then it transitions into the "Okay.. actually no. I thought we were having a great day together…" and so on. If you say "I understand" Chloe sounds more passive aggressive than understanding: "Yeah, I get it. I know I'm not the easiest person to be around, I'm not great at this whole friendship thing." Then Rachel says, "It's not always about you." Chloe: "I didn't say it did, I'm just saying I understand." Rachel: "No, you clearly don't." Then she throws the bottle and the conversation plays out the same way. It was a little disappointing that the fight would happen either way, I wish your choices mattered more.

Humans are good at picking out patterns, even when there are none intentionally left. Seeing things in clouds, thinking your voice was being called, odd things in the dark. Listen to these without looking at the supposed text, you'll get random words and phrases barely linked to what others see. Sample 1 slowed down and reversed sounds like someone say "I'm so tired of things that aren't ever explained"

What I hear: Sample 1: Daddy I'm scared and I love you. Sample 2: Sounds like muffled cries for help with audible choking and some screeching of some sort, possibly train tracks, but definately muffled. Sample 3: I definately hear "contact me" in some way in there Sample 4: Sounds like digging, but very monotone somehow, could also be a machine. What this suggests for me? I have no clue, but if I heard things right with the theme of the game it could be a reference to Rachels Death. Rachel: Who clinged to her dad before knowing the truth, and loves her dad a lot despite frustration, who was burried, possibly alive under the influence of drugs near train tracks in the junkyard, Burried by Nathan, who would want jefferson to contact him, and digging to cover up what happened, or a train or other machine doing some kind of work or chugging. Maybe it's a bit of a stretch but at least the things I heard seem to have a common theme. However I do like to note that with sound, similarly to color there is some level of variety in peoples perception which can cause people to hear or see different things (For example "The Dress" and "Yanny or Laurel")

In Sample #4 at normal and slowed down speeds, I hear "memories, memories, memories, memories" repeated over and over. Didn't hear much in the other ones though...

I really don’t know I would love to say it means something but I don’t think so considering that they said max and Chloe’s story was over except the farewell episode when I’m writing this. So idk maybe

I always thought that sample 3 normal said : come on and reach the stars. Like how Rachel loves stars and has a star tattoo.

Sample 1When it was slowed and reversed this is what i heard: Every single day I could live with you. Sample 3 normal speed all I could hear was: i used to think as fast as i could. Sample 4 slowed: Reset reset reset

Sample two looks like when Chloe finds Rachel's dead body in the original game; saying "Rachel... oh rachel... ohhh noo..." Something like that

i think sample 2 is crying (and sample 3 sounds like *humming* max is dead/back) sample 4 sounds like (backwards) see max or see me (idon't know about sample 1 tho xD)

Sample 1: "Help me daddy i am scared" --> this one i think is Chloe who wants help from her dead dad. And she is scared cause i think she don't want to lose Rachel. (In game Chloe told Rachel cause she always make somehow and she lose friends and family mambers, and Chloe don't want to lose Rachel too) Sample 2: i think here say smth "Chloe **scream** heelp me"----> this one probably is Rachel who wants Chloe's help to help her to escape from Jefferson who is that man who drugged and kidnapped in 1st game all the teenagers. Sample 3: "Nobody expects me there" ---> this one probably is Max or Sera, but idk where she means from "there" Sample 4: "She left, she left, she left..." ---> this one i think is Chloe who say "She left" and she probably means about Max cause Max left her when she need her the most.

Maybe it's telling the story of Chloe's dark moments like when William died and Max left. Like the "Daddy, I'm scared you sound so different" could be when he was dying or him in her dreams. For sample 2 the metal scraping and such could be when the train hit his car and he died. Sample 3 could be someone saying "Who's your friend Chloe" which I don't hear but I hear "Nobody expects me there" which doesn't really make sense with what I'm thinking. The "who's your friend Chloe" that some people here might be about Max and the "She left" repeated could be Chloe's response to that question. Your welcome. Lol. :)

Can you look at the spectrum and use a band pass filter to try to isolate the frequency range of the hidden vocals?

In sample 2 it sounds like a radio and someone saying "hello?" And some other not clear things.
