▶️ Mae Kampong is a small village about 1.5 hours east of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Not many villagers live here, but the food here is very cheap and delicious and the people here are kind and friendly. If you come to Chiang Mai, you must come here at least once. You will be impressed.

This place is right up my street! That pork looked a bit 'Al dente' for me though 😉. I love Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole, fab part of the world. Did Dave take you down 'Big Pit' when you were in Wales? Super interesting if you can do dark enclosed spaces. God I miss Thailand ❤

Please can you use easy words to learn my English? The language you use is difficult for me. [Dave types: I had to translate "right up my street" and "al dente"...! 😂]. Yes, Dave never took me to Big Pit. Yes, Dave had taken me to a cave (Dave types: Dan yr Ogof Caves in the Welsh Valleys], but it wasn't a place where you go anywhere else.

Rooms were not cheap in this village, I agree, because there are many tourists but not enough rooms.
