Every year I revisit this game...along with "The Legend of Zelda a link to the past". I always make sure to pay my respects to Jeremy. So many of us would be lost without his guidance. I don't think I could finish these games without his help. Thank you man... And thank you for keeping his channel alive. That is almost a form of immortality in it's own way.

Thanks for being a faithful follower of Jeremy’s channel. Jeremy would have been glad to hear that another fan of the older games had watched. He was not afraid to die, he just did not want to be forgotten. Hearing from someone like you helps me to know he is being remembered. We are doing all we can to keep the channel active. Thanks for your support, Jeremy’s dad

I mind as well watch this gameplay after beating this game earlier today. If Saikyo still existed today, I want to tell him that his walkthroughs never bored me. I enjoy watching his walkthroughs on various games.

And my team was in their early Lv 70's when I finished this and I grinded up the Magic Guardians for Popoi. Undine, Shade, and Luna's magic levels were max out. And the other ones were pretty high.

I like how you relentlessly pour all kinds of attacks whenever you face a boss, giving them no time to move let alone retaliate :) Great job on the walkthrough by the way!

Very nice job with this walkthrough. Excellent playing, too, by the way.

Thank you very much. I just wish I had done this when I decided to do the grinding bits via fade outs / ins...It would have made some places a bit easier to watch....A bit late though now I guess....

Indeed. In the future I'll be doing the next game in the series: Seiken Densetsu 3. It'll actually be a series of videos since it takes longer than 4 hours. I'll also be doing 3 sets of videos (one for each main grouping: Lise/Hawk, Kevin/Carlie, Duran, Angela). The thing is though I like to take my time with that game, but I feel I shouldn't do that with a video...I love the game (beaten it well over 50 times by now). I just need a good game plan for how to go about it...Meh....

Yeah, though id bet 50% of young gamers today haven't played anything before 2000. I grew up with games like this, i miss those times.

Glad to hear it. While I do go through the game with just a tiny, tiny, tiny bit of grinding (if any, really...) I would suggest people actually take the time and fight in each area for a bit. It can't hurt to level up your characters, weapons, and spells....

This game has a bit better graphics than ff6, but that game is better because every player has a back story and a reason to save the world. In this game there really is not a back story so it doesnt move your felings. Here boy found out at the end who he is and no real connection to his parents or padt life. In ff6 there are at least a couple of places where if you are normal you may drop a tear or two. Thats just me.

Very nice walkthrough !! Just a question : why do you use Luna's magic on mana beast? I used to kill it without it ..
@SluiceKing10 жыл бұрын
I don't understand it but I'm reviving the mana sword and even using the strength spell but 95% of the time I still do zero damage. Am I missing something?

Not really sure what to say. I made this video when I played RPGs without trying to grind (but now I just fade out/in the video to show grinding spots). I should have leveled up a bit more and try to raise the level of Dryad if I could.

My biggest frustration with this game was not being able to use magic very much. The game was never really clear on what did what and i wasn't willing to experiment much due to having so little MP and not being able to carry very many Nuts to replenish it. Leveling up brings back your HP but not your MP for some reason. It's really frustrating in places where I know I need to use magic and dont have enough MP to do it. So not only am I saving up MP for any and all bosses but those puzzles that need me to trigger something. And the magic is so weak initially and take so long for you to use over and over again to level up it just becomes NECESSARY for you to grind hours into leveling them up outside the story.
@TomboyGamerGal4 жыл бұрын
At least level up Shade and especially Luna for Popoi later in the game. They're very helpful once they're at a high level. I mostly used MP drain on enemies to gain MP back for Popoi.
@stormcutter594 жыл бұрын
@@TomboyGamerGal That's what I've done for grinding since made this comment.
@TomboyGamerGal4 жыл бұрын
@@stormcutter59 I pretty much used magic often for Popoi to level up the magic guardians and I definitely used it on the bosses as weapons alone will take a long time to kill them. Before playing this game, I actually watch someone made a video on the notorious DarkSydePhil (DSP) on his Secret of Mana remake playthrough. DSP inaccurately stated that you don't need to use magic in order to progress the game. The author of the "This is how you don't play Secret of Mana" said that the game is not a hack and slash game as enemies can dodge your attacks even if you made contact with your weapon. He should've known that he must use offensive magic in RPG games like this.
@stormcutter594 жыл бұрын
@@TomboyGamerGal Yeah thatd the main problem I think many players have had. You have to take that Offensive Magic you get VERY seriously or else you'll get behind quick
