Wow, a B-O thermostat! I'm still running mercury bulbs. Never a low battery 😂 One early July a few years ago my wife says we got people coming and the house is hot, put on the AC. After a while she's like why didn't you put on the AC, it's really hot. I'm like, I did! Checked a register and it was blowing hot - heating hot not just no AC. Yikes. Checked the voltage at the reversing valve coil and it had 24. Taking the wire off and touching it again, the little valve was clicking back and forth but the main valve wasn't responding. Very bad timing!

@@NewHVACGuide I still like them. Maybe my collection will be valuable someday. 😂 I mean, why keep offering simple devices cheap when there's a lot more money to be made with fancy gadgets? Just "find reasons" to discontinue the lower profit items.

Couldn't hot air come out during cooling due to a refrigerant leak?

Low refrigerant can cause lots of things but making the air warmer isn’t usually one of them
