Moisture, Humidity, water seepage due to rain has damaged much of our temple art . The artists who are working to improve face lift of the damaged art are doing there best in Konkan and other temples. Sawani, it is a general practice not to look at the ceiling or not to notice art on cornice and pillars . The way you explain each detail of art will now transform us take notice of the superb art work done by artist of temples . You are opening up the untold stories. Thanks for your efforts . This is a very well made video of Mulveer Devasthan, Sawani. I loved it. Goa has a very rich heritage. Kudos to those who are preserving such sacred places. I love how the temple, the surroundings are all tied to a magnificent ecosystem. Similarly, in my native place, Kerala, most of the temples have a natural ambience such as ponds, trees, springs, wells, etc and also Sarpa Kaavu (Serpent Grove) on the outside and inside there are engravings of stories from Indian epics (like Mahabharata, Ramayana, etc) on the walls, the pratishtha, lamps, etc . Everything is intertwined with Mother Nature. It is an immersive experience overall.

Yes, sir. Kerala temples are beautiful, surrounded with greenery and water bodies. Just the setting will calm down the visitor of all the worries and stress. It’s also a wish to visit Guruvayur temple, and Shankaracharya birth place someday.

हो scientific restoration, म्हणजे मूळच्या चित्रांना धक्का न लावता जिर्णोद्धार करता येतो हेच अनेक कडे माहितनाही, किंवा तज्ञांना विचारात न घेता कुठल्या तरी गवंड्याला काम देतात. हेतू वाईट नसेल पण पद्धत चुकते आणि नुकसान होतं. अनेकदा आपण अश्या मंदिरांत जातोपण तिथे चित्रं होती हेच कधी लक्षात येत नाही, म्हणून हा छोटासा प्रयत्न

Renovation and reconstruction of temples needs to be monitored . Repeated damage to the art and the repair work in available funds from temple are sometimes difficult to manage . Some take easy art form which diminishes the original art . Before and after photos and farma of the original art needs to be maintained. Most of the temple courtyards are open . Dust , dirt, moisture, rain water seepage is the actual cause of renovation. If it is possible to coat the painting with Varnish spray (dust , dirt , condensed moisture can be wiped without damaging the art ). West have been doing it with great success. We need to focus on preventing the damge to the art . Some experts in this field can guide to save the original art .

Many temples in Konkan are completely destroying their original style and building cement structures. Renovation is needed but has to be a mindful one :) can hire experts for it
