Vivian, you are a wonderful tour guide. The introduction, the pace, the background, the filming, human interest, the editing was all perfect! I, like others noticed the lower Chapel was so like the Chapel at LaLande. When I was in Paris in 2022 I BLEW BY this amazing space rushing to see the windows upstairs. Now, after learning the gargantuan and painstaking processes it takes to decorate the columns and vaults, I was riveted. It’s just another example of how education leads to appreciation. You are doing exactly this with your incredible jewelry. This visit to the store was fantastic. Every episode you teach us more about the delightful art form. Thank you for all you do. You are a lovely person.

Such a delight to see your sweet daddy and his wife enjoying Paris at such a great pace. Thanks for all the tips on getting around with a little help from lifts and wheelchairs.....great info! The art deco designs are stunning and remind me of my years in Moscow.....where the style has just taken hold about a decade before the Russian Revolution of 1917! Stunning, stunning architecture and the bronze depicted at the door of the one exhibit....just the most beautiful bronze! I wish I had spent more time in the jewelry stores in Moscow as I often saw amazing pieces of art decor fine jewelry! Sigh! Your gumbo made my mouth water....big, big fan of Louisiana cooking after spending time there in the mid 70's! So happy to see Isabella and Jack again! Cheers!

I just watched your vlog showing you make gumbo. I live in Louisiana about 25 miles from New Orleans. And your Dad is right, gumbo is a favorite here! I learned long ago that there are as many different recipes for gumbo as there are chefs in the kitchen. I make gumbo often but cook my roux to peanut butter color. Also we always serve it with rice. Also was surprised to hear that there are crawfish in France. Would love to see you cooking etouffe. I absolutely love your art especially the painted birds on china. You have a wonderful gift!

I could see you adapting elements from the frieze that your father pointed out into your china painting. Your kitchen must have smelled glorious as you prepared that gumbo. One of my favorites, though I could see that yours was far better than any I've had. I'd love to have you as a guide in Paris, as long as you'd join me for afternoon tea at the Salon Proust at the Ritz. Proust keeps me sane, and I can open any page of In Search of Lost Time for a bit of therapy. Thanks!

Saint-Chapelle is my favourite example of Gothic architecture…it’s a masterpiece of high Gothic, it’s a stained glass jewel box. Was there in 2016. I try to travel with my mom (who is now 84) occasionally. We last went to Barcelona together in 2022, and hopefully she’ll feel up to Portugal next year.
