The intrigue of the story is absolutely gripping, but the relationships between the characters are the reason I'm so hooked.

I'm actually just starting to realize that the reason I keep taking breaks from listening to this season is I keep getting a little frustrated.

Yeah, I’m getting that too. Also, wasn’t the phone Francis is calling with super confidential, like its own satellite phone, and then they’re penalizing him for saying dead body? I don’t get it. Francis does seem to freak out a bit at times when ask to role play. Pretty sure I would do worse though.
@The_Mothman664 ай бұрын
@tingtaiji the satellite phone came from Barbas, they used it once, but since then Bobby has been using his own phone to contact them.

Joe would've been the last of the crew I'd expect to run something of this caliber. And to do it, reign people in, and act it out so well is absurd considering he started with an orc. Named Lorc. Whose son was named json. Love it 😂

I've listened to a lot of stuff all the way back, including the assault on the Emerald Spire Super-Dungeon back in '21. Joe doesn't work for me as a GM, but he is the most amazing Handler I have ever heard. It's like a guy who is serviceable at first base turning out to be the world's greatest shortstop.

I am certain they missed a chance to give agent executor like at least one moment of clarity, he went quiet when they mentioned "delta green agents arent supposed to know about eachother." He knew he'd fucked up, he knew something was wrong with that. I wish they'd pushed, just tried harder to force him to think specifically about different until the madness unraveled a little and he either gives them one last tidbit, or at least he gets to die a good delta green agent again.

That talk between Maybelline and Sam is just so freaking awesome. I am in awe honestly. Sams "I just have to make my own friends" in that tone almost broke me. It's a shame that the characters are low on bonds cause I honestly think the bonds are one of the things that made the first season so good and this season slightly lacks it so I was so glad for Sam.

the one thing about this is the players don't know protocol of a certain situations but surely the characters they play would. rolling a success and then trying to say or do the right thing is hard when you don't know what to say or do. Like if I'm playing a Cop, I'm not going to know the day to day laws and regulations of every situation but my character would. I just think sometimes expectations about how to handle these situations are put on the players unfairly. Although it does lead to funny moments lol.
@garypoisson27333 ай бұрын
@sparhawkelite1 I had this exact thought during this episode when the Cleaners just came in and killed it and Joe made a point of the difference between the players and the professionals. Troy may forget to check his corners, but Roger Cumstone never will. There's no way Bobby Walford climbed this high in the CIA with Francis Mrema's covert ops experience.

I know this was recorded a million years ago but fuck it, my shitty 2 cents are engagement for the algorithm. Poor Francis. He is obviously struggling to do the operator vibe but it feels like we’re starting to see Bobby being punished for Francis not knowing how to do things his character does, like calling for delta green assistance. The lack of OOC talking is kinda holding back the show imo…

This is my first experience with Delta Green. Am I making wrong assumptions that they would report up that Agent Exeter was not only turned but that there’s connection to the unnatural? I mean, that has to happen otherwise where would the missions come from in the first place.

Thank you! Happy to hear you are enjoying it!
@DK-jp3kx Жыл бұрын
Funny, that taste can be so different. I found this glory hole blabla completely misplaced. The party had just murdered a man who used to be their ally. Agent Exeter was no criminal or bad guy but a victim himself. What made things even worse: he knew what was coming and begged for mercy and the group decided to kill him anyways. That should have been a very tragic and traumatic moment for all but Roger! Making fun of the whole situation felt completely wrong to me! But dont get me wrong: I still love this show!
@JessiNaka Жыл бұрын
I have to agree that this ep for me was a bit too silly, I wish we could've delved more into Exeter but the group was too punchy and chaotic today imo. Fantastic roleplaying from Joe felt like it was brushed over and not really taken seriously by the players during the whole interrogation since last ep
@BlackMeridia Жыл бұрын
As a handler of Impossible Landscapes, I can confirm that Joe is doing an incredibly good job respecting the story and letting it grow with the characters. He really, really is. It's such a pity that it has to be played for laughs all the times. I enjoy this run, but the players are at their absolute lowest when they kill an NPC. It makes me skip entire scenes.
@21forevergone Жыл бұрын
Y'all forget this isn't just a show, it's s game as well. Let them have fun
@DK-jp3kx Жыл бұрын
@@21forevergone I dont think that even all of the players would agree to your interpretation of fun! Constantly making "fun" of everything just spoils the atmosphere Joe and most of the others are trying to create here. So my advice to those that prefer to play a funny game: Dont play Delta Green, but play Paranoia instead! 😉
