A great advice section. Being an old skool mtber I always feel guilty using more than eco mode so when I hit trail (never use boost but I will now) I tend to understeer especially up muddy inclines created by one of your team ;-) I'll also take seat down as always have it up. My only requisite is can you show how to get up muddy, steep, rocky runs in sth Wales. Keep it up guys....

Use saddle down for climbs and clutch technique a lot. Makes a big difference.

Great stuff, thank you! I just picked up an emtb this week and hit the trails for the first time in 15+ years. There's some learning to do, but I can't believe how much fun it is!

The clutch move is going to really helpful and easy to learn. Those tight uphill switchbacks are so tricky especially if they don’t have much width.

Thanks a lot Chris! This technique makes very fun going uphill, not just downhill. Where was the shooting? The view remembers me my home spots near Barcelona where I enjoy my Haibike Yamaha PWX powered :)

I plough the front end on switch backs all the time I’m going to give the clutch technique a go thanks. Question will that wear the drivetrain more with all that power wind up?

Apparently EMTB riders do not know about “scrubbing” a jump. As a long time MTB rider, finding spots to jump over rough terrain was a thing. But having power to hit the ground, immediately, means many parts of the trail, work with scrubs.

Any tip to get the front wheel off the ground my Levo weights a ton. I just can get!
@benldr

I disagree about climbing with the seat lower. The higher the seat on my Kona Remote 160 the more weight I have on the handle bars which keeps the front of the bike weighted. My Kona Remote climbs like a beast. When I put the seat down the weight comes off the handle bars. I think it has to do with the bike geometry.

Best pro tip to get faster on your e-bike ... derestrict it. 15.5mph is ok uphill- totally sucks on the downhills.
@somethingelse9535
@somethingelse9535 4 жыл бұрын
Mines derestricted, but MTB'ing is mostly a low speed activity or DH where you don't use it. I think it's no help. Great on road tho.
