little detail from the manga - Hoshina was the only one not pointing a gun or a weapon at Kafka at the end. Anime missed it, but i always loved this little detail ;-;

Yea Bellz is right remember in the first episode one of the civilians asked which company was going to deal with the kaiju that appeared and they said 3rd division , and this is the story behind a about the entire Japan so it’s safe to say that there are multiple divisions and captains and vice captains . Think of them as the military, so there are possibly stronger divisions

Yes I did. I liked that addition to the story from the anime, it wasn't in the manga since Bakko (the tiger's name, kinda suck they skipped Mina saying it's name here) is mainly here to act as recoil for Mina after she fires the cannon. A bit more info about Bakko should be shared in Season 2 if they keep up this pace and why it sticks with Mina.

Yeah, no matter what happen that thing in front of them is the kaiju that once can reach 9.8 fortitude. It's better for the civilian if the officer aware of that kaiju instead of trust it instantly just because it's their friend.

They are all part of the Third Division, so there are other divisions. The different divisions are tasked with the safekeeping of other parts of the country. In the first episode during the kaiju attack, a woman asked which division would handle it and the guy said it would be the third given what city it's in.

Once Hoshina stop fighiting that red kaiju will go outside and that's mean so many of people, officer, civilian will die from that. As you can see, no officer right there can piercing through that armor, even Kikoru with that big axe still can't do it, only Hoshina and Mina can do it. So, if he back down = more people die. That's why he can't stop because he's have to pretect them.

Sakuna has his own consciousness and will aside from Yuji. Kafka just has powers that he can just use. The Kaiju doesn't take him over like Sakuna does with Yujis body. And Sakuna is PURE EVIL. Kafka has shown to he nothing but a good dude and comrade. They already know about the civilians he saved in EP 3, he has saved division members already and now he literally just save the entire 3rd division and the city from a Kaiju nuke. It makes sense to question him but doesn't not make sense to treat him like a threat. If he wanted you dead he would've just transformed peaced out and left them all to die to the nuke.

@MeltinJohn2834 Yes, he still saved people, and what not, but if the higher-ups catch wind that a whole division let him go, they would probably be suspicious of the entire division and fire them all. As far as they know, the higher-ups, that there are intelligent kaiju that can turn into humans, and they don't know if Kafka is genuinely good or just doing a cover-up for a entire takedown. They are a military force first. And personal feelings towards something comes second. They have a job to do and have to follow procedures. In all honesty, this is the best possible outcome for Kafka. He was taken into custody rather then being gunned down in the bad state he is in.

I thought this is the best episode or chapter in anime/manga but after this episode 10.. I read the manga up to the latest chapter 108 😅 and I can tell you this is just the beginning, I can't imagine how awesome the animation for the future episodes and season 2,3 or more. 😂😂 this manga/anime is one of the best Kaiju story for me.

i just finished watching the last episode just now and i am completely confused and sorely disappointed that they ended this whole incredible series on such an abrupt sour note of him being taken into custody despite just saving all the team. Also, no explanation to the grey Kaiju 9, he vowed to return and then never did, i was expecting him to show up after the Red kaiju. The red kaiju was called number 6, so it wasnt the grey one.
