Came here to say this, he's also involved in the WEIRDEST love triangle in comics. -Death is represented as a female grim reaper, and, well, depending on who is drawing her, she thicc... lol -Death is fascinated and quite possibly in love with Deadpool, because his healing factor is even stronger than Wolverine's, and he literally will never die. (Seriously, Xavier once theorised in the comics that Wolverine could probably die highlander style aka decapitation, but Deadpool we have seen in comics get decapitated a lot) -Thanos is in love with Death, and his whole plan with the infinity gauntlet was to sacrifice the majority of the galaxy to get her attention. Thanos is in direct competition with Deadpool for Death's love... lol
@blazypoo17235 ай бұрын
@@manicwolfgaming4940Not to mention that for the longest time, DeadPool was flat out immortal completely because Thanos cursed him with immortality so that DeadPool couldn’t see death. Which comes to bite Thanos in the ass because despite how badly Thanos beats the shit out of DeadPool, he can never get rid of him.

I always saw Iron Man as a hybrid of Batman and Supes (back in the day, before Bats made an anti-Superman weapons suit), with a few twists. Tony really is the fun-loving rich playboy that Bruce *pretends* to be, and his armor gives him super-powers. I always saw Spidey the same way. Before he gets his powers, Peter really is a glasses-wearing wimp, which Clark only pretends to be. Raised with middle-class values. Gets his powers and they basically make him a faster, super-strong Batman. Uses gadgets, swings from webs instead of rope-lines.

Swamp Thing and Man-Thing -- the comic book creators were roommates. While Static (Milestone, later bought out by DC) has many original elements and original enough to be his own hero based on a trope, in personality and actions he's very much a pastiche of Spider-man. Mutated or a Mutate not a Mutant, from a poor family, goes to high school. Very over-powered once he learns how to use his powers, very smart and into science, nerdy, and uses humor when fighting villains.

The interesting thing about Vision and Red Tornado is that these characters are both reinvented from proto-characters that debuted in Nov. 1940 according to wikipedia. the original Red Tornado is an elderly woman named Ma Hunkel who was a superhero parody and has even been canonized as a version of Red Tornado in DC. If I had a nickel for every time a superhero from Nov. 1940 was reinvented in 1968 as an android with red skin I'd have 2 nickels which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

There is a little more detail to the whole Superman vs Captain Marvel/Shazam vs Mar-Vell/ Captain Marvel than is being told here. For instance, Fawcett comics and National Periodicals (DC) went to court against each other more than once before the matter was settled-- and then it was settled out of court, due mostly to Fawcett running out of money because of court costs and declining sales (the "Shazam" Captain Marvel comics had once outsold the Superman comics but eventually began to slump). Fawcett finally threw in the towel, gave DC a monetary settlement and ceased to publish any more comics with their character. It's also worth mentioning that the "Shazam" Captain Marvel had the ability to fly before Superman did. You can read more about the convoluted legal history of the name "Captain Marvel" on several online sites (e.g., there was another comic book company in the 60s that showcased a character named "Captain Marvel" who was an android with the weird ability to split his body apart and have each section battle the bad guys).
