This brought tears to my eyes. How many are aware that this man carried one of his crew members on his broken back, after PT-109 was cut in half by a Japanese destroyer? I was a small child in boarding school when he was handling the Cuban Missile Crises. We were rushed to an underground auditorium. So very much afraid. I remember trying to look for my sister & was instructed to “stay & squat.” Huddled & shaking all the while until Krushev backed down. Though he was a man of some legitimate issues, he was a great American & a great president with phenomenal character and integrity. I sorely miss his caliber. The US has not recovered.

Barbara Hock, NO human has perfect character. I am assuming that you are speaking of Kennedy’s womanizing. The fact is that most of our Presidents have had “other women”. I don’t agree with infidelity, but we really need to focus on the abilities of our President. I lived through those times. We have not had one President since Kennedy who could compare with his integrity, compassion and intelligence. This country has slowly declined since President Kennedy was assassinated. Just take a good look at what we have in the Oval Office today. God help us all.

Kayte 0207 some would argue that Presidents Carter and Obama had all those qualities. Conservatives would say the same about President Reagan. And apparently none of those men cheated on their wives. Kennedy took a virginal nineteen year old intern named Mimi Alford and molded her into one of his many mistresses. There is also a possibility that the Kennedy’s had something to do with actress Marilyn Monroe’s suspicious and untimely death. As much as JFK might be admired for certain aspects of his Presidency, I just don’t think he had great personal character. That can be said for some of the other Kennedy men too.

@@Kayte-tv2cw There is that scene in the Simpsons where Homer Holds up a can of Duff's beer and proclaims: "Ah beer! The cause of, and the solution to, all my problems! " Kennedy's philandering wasn't the best kept secret. He was Schtupping Mobster Boss Sam Giancana's girlfriend on the regular, along with others. If the Mob knew of his peccadillo's The Soviet's certainly did. They saw him as a weak and frivolous playboy, and their suspicions were borne aloft when Kennedy promised crucial air support for the Bay of Pigs invasion and withdrew it at the precise moment it was needed condemning these Cuban exiles to death or worse; decades in a Cuban prison. (some of them were repatriated only last year.) It was such a view (along with the CIA's complicity in the 42 attempts on Castro's life.) that led the Soviets to believe that they could place Soviet ICBMs replete with multiple warheads in Cuba. The rest is much more public and lends itself to great theater, but make no mistake; Kennedy as much as invited those weapons into the Western Hemisphere. My advice to YOU Kayte 0207: Don't believe everything you think.

The oldest, Joseph Jr. Died in a secret mission to take out Hitler's bunker The Plane, heavily laden with ordinance blew up over England. By all accounts he was being groomed by his father for the presidency. The feckless, weak, irresolute Jack, half the man his older brother was, was pressed into service and elected Congressman and then president, with the help of 140,000 dead voters, compliments of Mayor Daley of Chicago. Ted Kennedy is guilty of at the very least, involuntary manslaughter. He was an opportunistic bombastic partisan hack who fucked anything that moved. But it's probably alright since his blackouts kept him from remembering anything. I could carve a better man out of a banana. I don't know Bobby, But Nepotism got the him the job as Attorney General, where he fucked over anybody that was tied to his office from the previous Admin.. The Louisiana Mob and Jimmy Hoffa especially.

Mr. Fay you like to start in the middle don't you? What Motivated the Soviets to put missiles in Cuba IN THE FIRST PLACE was their view of Kennedy as a feckless playboy who was boinking movie stars and the girlfriends of mob bosses, which he most certainly was, and who backed out of crucial promises of strategic air support during the Bay of Pigs invasion leaving heroic rebels to die or be captured. Not to mention the 42 times the CIA, at Kennedy's direction, attempted the assassination of Castro. The Soviets, Kruschev and his circle guessed that if they got the missiles in place and operational there was no way this idiot would be able to force their removal. Kennedy as much as anyone put those missiles in Cuba and HE would have been at least partially responsible for incinerating the Eastern seaboard. As it turned out, the Soviets had nothing to bargain with The missile weren't missiles yet. with the blockade in place, and the world watching, they never were going to be operational. The Soviets saved face by demanding the the Missiles of Turkey me removed. They were old and ready to be decommissioned anyway. And who didn't want to get rid of Herbert Hoover? But, you see, Hoover had illegal dossiers on 20,000 American citizens. Including ALL the Kennedys: wire taps, surveillance, the works. He was even well aware of Joseph SR,s contributions to Illegal liquor sales during prohibition (It's how they made their initial fortune, bootlegging.) The Kennedys were a lot more respectful of Hoover than he was of them. He held power until he died. No president was powerful to mess with that old man. Again pay attention. The unions helped get Kennedy elected and then Bobby AFL-CIO, but AG Bobby went after both in spectacular fashion The same with the mob. The Giancana gang were contracted at least once through Kennedy's CIA to assassinate Castro. The Chicago Mob made heroic efforts to deliver votes in 1960 behind Joe Sr's promise that the Kennedy's would lay off organized crime once in office. If you were going to set up your own assassination and that of your brother, you would do well to follow their lead.

How prescient he was. Today Trump deals with that by continuing firing people one after the other. He is a ridiculous administrator, and that is what he should have been impeached for. He "ran" his failed businesses the same way, with at least 4 bankruptcies; not even a board to check him. He "runs" the US Government the same way. JFK said that life is not fair. It's ironic that he lived an easy life in regard to finances and privilege, yet was gunned down like a mafia victim. A maternal distant relative of mine, G. Robert Blakey, chaired the House Select Committee on Assassination that reviewed the JFK and Martin Luther King assassinations in the late 1970s and also worked at the Department of Justice under RFK in the early 60s. The House committee concluded that there were at least two assassins in the JFK event. This was even before the numerous FBI and CIA files were released in the 90s and more recently.

@Sue Taft sue nobody is interested in public figures private lives apart from people who can make money and spread rumours, in other words parasites and gossip mongerers I am talking about the public figure of president Kennedy That's all that interests me I think he would have got a second term and the corruption in today's government wouldn't have been so rampant.

Great President and a great man. His death is such a tragedy. He would have accomplished so much for our country. I question why God allowed evil to win that day. He would have abolished the Fed and never allowed the Vietnam War to happen. I truly believe if JFK, RFK, and MLK would have all lived this country would be a much different place today.

But, don't forget. It's possible he is completely innocent because a man who controlled oil all over the planet would eventually become president of the U.S. as well as head of the CIA before that can't remember where the hell he was when President John F Kennedy was murdered. So, you see, innocent.

Any release of any tapes will only be those specific ones brought out every so often by the Kennedy PR machine to propagandize the next generation about Kennedy. Then Caroline “writes” a book to release it. People are not so naive anymore.

I wonder why make them martyrs? this is stranger than it appears to be... no smart tactician kills an enemy if that means martyrize him, that's from the Roman Empire times... why didn't they just steal the election for his 2nd term? Looks like America needed; either a Martyr or a Warning Shot! But they knew he was going to be the fav president in history because he was killed in Dallas... So why??? They only made him stronger, I wonder if that wasn't the idea... It's very shady... I'm beginning to think that no party wins, rather one party loses so the other has to win... look how bad the dems have looked in campaign (Hillary, now Biden) they have better people to run for sure, at least when it comes to seizures and mental health! It's almost on purpose...

No one will ever know if the hand of God made him decide along with Bobby not to invade Cuba like general Lemay wanted. Now we know there were nuclear warheads on the beaches ready to be used if invaded. It would’ve been the beginning of the end of humanity. All my existence was possible Because of one man . I was born after he died and I Owe him my life. Then removing all conspiracies the side and realities he was gone after saving everyone almost as if he had served his purpose and off he was to the heavens.
